I own this and the Flashpoint (Godox) AD200. The GT200 works flawlessly on Flashpoint R2 Pro and R2 Pro II controllers (I use both). Just hold the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time until an "A" comes on the screen and then set your channel and group how you want.I think it also does TTL with the Flashpoint controller, but I haven't tried it. I use it in manual with HSS for shots in bright sunlight. It works well for that. At some point I might look at a more powerful strobe, but I haven't felt limited by this. In full sunlight, I can get properly exposed backgrounds or even darkened a couple of stops. (85mm @f1.8, ISO 200, 1/8000, GT200 at 1/2 power)For the really stylized super underexposed mid-day backgrounds you might find this slightly underpowered.I have not noticed a difference in battery life or light output vs the Godox. I find myself using this more, because I think of them as equivalent in terms of function, reliability, control, and battery life but I like the mag attachments better and the pistol grip is a really nice addition to the kit.I could not be happier with this strobe. If the time comes to replace my AD200 I'll replace it with another GT200 because the price is better and I like the accessories better. As far as I can tell everything else is pretty much the same.

This is a great compact strobe. Works well and with the trigger, I can set it and forget it. Gets great lighting just how I need
