Surprised to say, it works well for me.
I was very skeptical that this little device would actually work when I purchased it. So much so, in fact, that I purchased a second, more expensive unit in case it didn’t. But lo and behold, I plugged it into my TVs USB port, plugged the patch cable into the headphone jacks, and synched up a pair of Bluedio headphones with relative ease.I was a bit unsure how to pair with the device, with my headphones, since there’s no interface to select what you want to connect with (like there would be with a phone or tablet), but I just turned off the Bluetooth on my other devices the headphones normally pair with, turned on the adapter, and after about 5-10 seconds, they paired automatically.Once the headphones were connected, I tested them with some games, and was once again surprised. Because not only did the device work, the audio quality was great, and there was no latency that I could detect.I just tested it out once tonight, so I can’t speak to its longevity, its day-to-day ease of use, or how well it will pair with other Bluetooth headsets, but I was so impressed at how well this little transmitter worked that I had to give it some credit and post a good review. For the ridiculously cheap price it’s being offered at right now ($6), it’s a hell of a bargain to add wireless audio functionality to your TV.Additionally, with the amount of very questionable reviews currently circulating this site, it’s worth mentioning I wasn’t bribedor paid for this review, and I did not receive the item free for testing.

Make sure you have a spare aux cable
Took me forever to troubleshoot why this wasn't working with my tv to bluetooth headphones. Within 30 min, the end literally fell off the aux cord. We have spares. So I had to try everything again to see if the cord was the issue. The USB end needs to be plugged in to a wall charger. It did work with one of my portable battery packs, but not the other (same 1 amp output, so not sure why- it was the older crappier battery pack that worked with it). So beware if you want to make something bluetooth and portable- it might need to be plugged in to the wall. I did not try the USB port on my TV since that's taken by my Chromecast. But plugged in to the wall I was able to use it in transmit (launch) mode and pair with some bluetooth headphones to listen to the TV. Occasionally got a little choppy but not bad, especially for $7. The audio was significantly quieter so I had to crank the volume up. I also got it to work in receive mode to pair a non-bluetooth speaker with my phone. But that might not be useful if your particular battery pack won't work with it and it has to be plugged in. Kind of defeats the purpose. I also had to crank the volume up on that. Both times I only used them at a distance of around 12 ft, so not sure about the range.

Annoying and cheap -- don't buy this
This device is poorly made and very disruptive. Because it doesn't show up in the system tray or in your device manager, you cannot manage its settings. This means, it has auto-discovery turned on and becomes very disruptive if you have a TV that supports bluetooth speakers/headphones. I see this pop up on my TV as a device requesting connection every couple seconds. To fix this, I have to unplug this device from my PC. There are many better choices out there for the same price.

Re-connections troubles :(
This paired up right away (with an Amazon Echo) in receive mode, and the sound quality from my record player was good. However, when you disconnect it from the Echo (to listen to a different source) it won’t later reconnect as an already paired device. I have to ‘forget this device’, remove the transceiver from power, plug it back in, and pair it again from scratch, to get it reconnected. It’s really frustrating because otherwise it’s a great little device. On another note, while booting up in transmit is great for my current purposes, I could see that being annoying if I was routinely using it as a receiver.

Disappointing
They're only worked with basic Bluetooth headphones when I try to connect it to any one of my Bluetooth speakers it wouldn't catch the connection I make sure nothing was connected to the speakers and even when I reversed it and look for the signal with my phone it was not popping up. Very disappointing because I was looking forward to this because I wanted to connect it to my projector and have my speaker set up around me without using any wires.Returning this item requesting a refund I will order a similar item hopefully that one works.

My favorite Aux input, and bluetooth receiver.
This should be a 4--but I gave it a 5. I have had so much fun with it... if you have old vehicles without aux input you probably want the lighter powered bluetooth adapter that transmits to FM. If you have an aux input and usb power, get this. I have used it in the house--in cars and anything you can input to direct--yep cassette recorder from '95 thru the 3.5 adapter to rca (not included of course). my only problem, one big button to change and stop tracks, little clumsy. Best, no battery, must have a. usb power supply--micro or android. usb micro. 4 'cause of I can't trust the button, but 5 because it works and adapts to anything...and it is cheap.

Doesn't work
This was purchased so I could use an older laptop that lacks bluetooth with bluetooth earphones. Tried this several ways....earphones said they were pairing....but not so. No sound from the laptop to the earphones. The phones work fine on an android phone, so it must be this gadget that won't work with my setup. I'll try again and will update if it does work.

Must bluetooth pair it every time you use it?
Why would anyone want to re-pair the thing every time they use it?When you apply power to the USB port into which it's plugged, you must hit the button to pair it to your device.Otherwise, it won't connect.Wish I had known this before I bought it b/c that's a stupid, shortsighted and pointless failure that needs fixing.

Ritardo nell'audio
