‘Why Me? Why Not.’ was written by Liam with producers Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin, and recorded in Los Angeles and at RAK Studios in London. Wyatt and Kurstin previously contributed writing and production to Liam’s all-conquering debut solo album ‘As You Were’, and Liam was keen to get even deeper with them this time. As a result, ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ is a clear upgrade on ‘As You Were’ but not a radical departure. LG promises,“It’s a better record than As You Were,” which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn’t it?” The first single ‘Shockwave’ (out now) erupts into life with an indelible riff which channels The Who and T. Rex, before Gallagher bursts in on the unrelenting hook with his signature venomous punch. It’s the first new music from Gallagher since his chart-topping 2017 solo album debutAs You Wereand the first taste of what’s to come from his forthcoming second album, Why Me? Why Not.

Gallagher proves his solo prowess shines brighter than big brother's
Didn't think he could top AS YOU WERE, but he did and then some.WHY ME? WHY NOT is a near-perfect record from the voice of Oasis. The record kicks off with "Shockwave" a stomping rock track that holds all that Liam swagger. That is followed by a trio of AMAZING songs: "One of Us" is beautiful, heartfelt, and perfection. Certainly inspired by his missing Noel, but also looking at family and friends and missing his old band. "Once" also touches on these themes, as I'm sure Liam himself knew solo or otherwise, reaching the absolute heights of Oasis would never happen again. This song is missing one thing-a great guitar solo. "Now That I've Found You" is about Liam reuniting with his formerly estranged daughter, Molly. It is another surprisingly beautiful tune. "Halo" features an old, 50s-60s vibe and is fun, "Why Me? Why Not?" is another swagger tune, as is "Be Still" The last of the great tracks is the very 90s feeling "The River" The other three tracks on the record are good, but not as standout as the one mentioned above.Overall, WHY ME? WHY NOT is a five-star jam that deserves a place just behind my favorite three Oasis records. DEFINITELY MAYBE, WHAT'S THE STORY, and DON'T BELIEVE THE TRUTH. Easily better than anything either brother has produced (together or apart) outside of that set. If you miss Oasis, grab this record.

Parka Tops Potato
Wayyyy better than what Noel is putting out these days. More a logical direction of where Oasis could have ended up, stylistically, had they stuck it out and gotten back to what made them great. Guess they didn't need to tho, Liam is doing a SOLID job on his own. Sure, it's not really breaking any ground, and is a bit cheesy at times, but the tunes are solid and all are great. An album you can listen to front to back and over an over. Shockwave sounds A LOT like BRMC's spread your love, but it's only rock n' roll so whatever.

People are too stupid
This album is mediocre at best. Most of the songs sound the same and are a bit too tame. I can't believe Liam did this stinking album. To make things worse 'Invisible Sun' and 'Misunderstood' are only on the deluxe which is not even available on vinyl. Those two bonus tracks could easily replace most songs on the album. There are a few songs that I like but most feel like throwaways from his last album. 'As You Were' had more bite than this album and the songs were considerably more varied. What makes things worse is when you read the lyrics, they are wack, just flat out embarrassing on most of the songs. This album feels more like the second Beady Eye album while 'As You Were' feels more like 'Different Gear Still Speeding'. I do believe that 'As You Were' stomped Noels WBTM, but 'Why Me Why Not' is just too much of the same.

Great sophomore album/Vinyl
Great album. Great songs. Slighly different from the first but not much. Smart. Many artists try to change the format too soon and end up losing half of their fans. This is not the case here. Love it. What we see here is a man reclaiming the peak of his career. BUY THS ALBUM.

Another great album front to back!
At first I was bummed because they sent me a warped vinyl, but then they sent me a replacement, and the replacement was this cool colored vinyl! Cool as heck! The vinyl sounds great. Very good mastering and pressing quality. Liam Gallagher keeps putting out bangers! Way better than his potato bigger brother.

Liam Does it Again
A great album to follow up As You Were. Why Me? Why Not. refines the formula that worked so well with AYW, and adds a variety of different sounds to keep things interesting. My record does have a few minor scratches that are audible at times, unfortunately.

Amazing Rock n Roll
Love this record better than the first & I was blown away by the first. Liam Gallagher is the epitome of a rockstar. Former frontman of Oasis, the songs are similar but have a unique style. Highly recommend- I hope there is a third solo record from Liam Gallagher.

Cheap vinyl pressing. Forgettable songs that Liam sounds bored singing and has no real soul in.
I bought the vinyl version of this album. The quality of the vinyl is poor. It feels like 120/140 gram vinyl and the cover is a cheap affair. Not good. I hope we're not sliding into crap quality vinyl again to save a few bucks. The music itself is OK, but uninspiring. 'As you were' was a great album with some verve but this just sounds like an album of musical wallpaper with nothing to convince me that Liam had any input in the songwriting. Too much whining about his 'long lost' brother in the songs that is getting a bit tiring now and a general sense that he is just plodding through songs he doesn't really have any soul in. The lyrics are all a bit arty farty. Rick Astley could've sung most of this album and pulled it off.Sorry Liam, I think you're great and a real rock'n roll hero but this album doesn't cut it for me, getting through side B was an effort. The sound quality is compressed, loud and muddled with more than a whiff of auto tune going on.Oh well, maybe next time.

Most consistent record in some time. Cracking return from Liam.
In my opinion it’s the most consistent effort Liam has been involved with for some time. There are some great songs on here. You will have heard the singles which will give you a flavour, as will his previous album and maybe the first beady eye record.Nick Zinner provides some great guitar work too.Beatles and Stones......Solo Lennon, solo Macca (Ram and McCartney era), T-Rex and a touch of Slade all find a look in.The production is quite mellow and polished which is.....erm.....nice......but that’s where we lose a star, a little more dirt and grit would have made this a real stomper a little less Radio 2 friendly. This is a grown up sounding album!A few tracks are quite forgettable TBH but again I blame the production and it’s quite a brief album so a few times things don’t hang about to sink in. I think it’s a grower though. You need to give this one time.Another great record from Liam. Highly recommended.

Music, lyrics and vocals a masterpiece.
This album will go down in history as one of the greats. Liam's vocals are fantastic, musically it is very clever and the lyrics are brilliant. Collectively it's a masterpiece. Well and truly knocked out of the park. Stratospheric....

Liam hits the heights.
A delight. Strange to say that the weaker tracks are the ones you expect from Liam. The softer, more melodic tracks are superb and as always comparable to the Beatles at their best. Well worth a listen.

A little underwhelmed with the packaging
I'm not rating the songs, I'm rating the quality of the product. I love the album, but I have to say that the outer and inner sleeves are fine but a little underwhelming. The vinyl also doesn't seem to be as heavy as most new vinyl albums. Everything is good enough, but a little disappointed as most new albums are packaged better in my opinion.
