Q: what is the difference between the one sleeve and 2 sleeve?

You get 2 sleeves on the 2 pack. This is if you have multiple dogs.

Q: can this be worn on a collar?

It would not work on a collar as it’s sturdy rubber.

Q: Does it work on smaller than 1” wide leash?

I would not suggest it, the thing is kinda heavy and weighs down the leash.

Q: I have a round (approx 5/8”) leash, not flat, will this still work?

It is a flat piece. It will work on a round leash because it is stiff longways but flexible enough to use circular. It slides on my flat leash. If I had a round leash I would use it, and it may not slide like my flat leash. I think it would hold in place better on a round leash. As far as your size leash I don't know if it would work. I don't have my leash handy to tell you. I also want to tell you that the company did not scrimp on the Velcro they used. It has held up real well. My 65 lb puppy has had it in the water and rolling with it in the Florida sand. It is easy to clean out the Velcro loops. We have put it through the ringer. I would buy another one from this company. I hope this helps. Sorry I can't help you on size.
