Thinkware oem kit is opposite as are others I e seen. Do colors need to be switched** A: Colors don’t need to be switched they’re both power wires. Whichever one you decide to use just run it constant to constant. Turns out my dashcam didn’t work because I wired it incorrectly for my 2017 CRV. After searching online for the right configuration, this product was able to power my Thinkware F200 in both continuous recording mode and parking mode.If the wires didn’t work for you the first time, I’d highly recommend spending more time researching the right way to wire things for your car. You’d need to make sure the correct fuses are tapped. This process is different for each car. But the quality of this product shouldn’t be questioned, because it works quite well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome! *by D***N on September 27, 2019* The hardwire kit included with the thinkware cams is only 10 feet (3 meters), which is too short for my Dodge Challenger's rear trunk fuse box. This kit adds enough length and includes the fuse taps which makes it really easy to install. I do recommend buying a fuse tester to find the correct fuses you need to tap to get both Battery and ACC power. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better kit than OEM kit...until it shorted out *by R***N on August 25, 2020* Includes more than you need to cleanly hardware your dashcam - fuse taps in all sizes, extra fuses, the wiring kit and separate inline fuses. The OEM Thinkware kit doesn't include the fuse taps just bare wire ends, so I'm glad I had this kit and it's cheaper.If you think can install this without a voltage tester/multimeter, you might be able to but it's incredibly frustrating even if you think you know which fuses are live/accessory.However, after 6 months the cabling internally shorted and won't work anymore - when I replaced the installation I found no damage or pinch points on the jacket so it had to be internal.
