So simple - yet SO AWESOME!
I cannot believe how simple yet TOTALLY EFFECTIVE this is. I have tried so many things to try and relieve the stress of my right arm (tingly and such) due to it hitting the edge of the desk repeatedly (happens more than people think - and yet many don't understand the reason for their arm issues - I didn't for a long time). My setup has my mouse on a higher level (about 5 inches) and to the right of my keyboard (makes it easier when my HO workstation switches from being work related to tv watching). The wrist support is one of the most effective purchases I have made - full stop. I would love to give it 4.5 stars (the item is ALL plastic) but since I have to choose between 4 & 5 - I have to give it 4. The only drawback I can find so far (IMO) is that it DOES feel a little cheaply made (the part furthest away from the desk does not have any support at all - as a result I expect it to crack/break in a little while - so I just ordered another - BUT I wish I didn't have to - but it makes SO MUCH DIFFERENCE to my arm/shoulder/back that I'll eat the $30). I have mitigated the stress the unit will endure by rotating it (it rotates **close to** 180 degrees) so that the edge of the "far end" is over the desk - providing a LITTLE more support - so, instead of the way the unit is pictured it (in my setup) is more parallel with the desk - giving my arm a larger area for support. It is & feels brilliant.I think if the designer added a metal support "joist" that ran the length of the unit - perhaps with further support - it would offer a little more peace of mind - but it would be significantly more expensive - and that's why I just decided to just pick up another in case/when this one breaks. - For me - $60 is a no-brainer (only $30 if you only buy one) to relieve arms/shoulder/back stress due to working at my desk.*****UPDATE (20140128) - After a short time, the top of the padding comes loose (peels). I have used masking tape to mitigate (I am unsure how glue might affect the padding (make the foam more rigid?). It would be great if the manufacturer would make the padding top a LITTLE more robust so that friction doesn't cause it to peel (I mean you are asking $30 of us - at least TRY to make it worth our money. The product is good - but little things mean a lot).

The extender is a very good price.
This armrest is very good I would've gave it five stars if it was more sturdy. You have to have a chair armrests under it to stabilize it because it does flex cause the plastic part that connects to the lip of table or desk's plastic. It works good if you do these two things. This armrest extender works very good for me.It holds your arm up, it take the weight off.I would recommend this.Sorry, for the misspelled words, and the wrong words here or any errors.I am using," Dragon speech recognition software 12.5 " from Amazon for people that can't use their arms for typing. Not real sturdy
This is a great concept to support the arms when you have a chair without armrests. However, this was not as sturdy as promised and it felt like it was not staying secured to the desk when weight of the arms was applied.

Cheep but it works
Works great, but the vinyl cover came off the top after about a month of use. Also, it makes creaking noises when I move my arm slightly (like when typing or going from keyboard to mouse). Cheep but it works.

It is a helpful arm support but as others have ...
It is a helpful arm support but as others have written, fairly fragile. People hovering around my desk tend to use it as a support to lean forward when pointing at the monitor. Finally broke.

Shoulder injury did not benefit
Resting my arm felt good but limited my movement so I found myself lifting my elbow off the armrest to move between mouse and keyboard. This action is what I was trying to avoid so that my rotator cuff could heal. I have gone back to standing at my desk which seems to be the most comfortable for shoulder relaxation.

Disappointing
This product is all plastic including the screw underneath that tightens it to fit your desk. I found adapting to it was very difficult because of the creaking noises it made were distracting. It did not feel supportive, it kept bending downward like it was having trouble supporting my weight, but I am not a heavy person. The pad was a piece of very thin foam with a layer of simulated leather. What was I thinking? You get what you pay for.
