Multi Color Changing UV Reactive Plastic Pony Beads (1000 Beads) - Also Glows in The Dark

These beads are amazing.The scene is our kitchen, a few weeks ago.Me, hardly containing my impatience to see these beads in action: Let's make bracelets, kids!My three boys: Uh, mom, those beads are super boring. No thanks.Me, excitedly: I KNOW BUT JUST WAIT!!!Kids, rolling eyes but knowing it behooves them to just give in to their dorky mother: Ok, mom, fine.....Cut to bracelets now on wrists, heading out into sunny day.Kids: OOOOOH AAAAHHHHHH they are CHANGING COLORS into all these different colors and these are THE COOLEST THINGS EVER, MOM!!!!!Me, grinning: I KNOW BUT JUST WAIT, again!!!!Cut to back inside, with all 4 characters crowding into a dark closet.Kids: MOM I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE THIS now they are GLOWING IN THE DARK!!!! *YOU ARE THE BEST MOM EVER AND WERE SO RIGHT AND WE ARE SORRY WE DOUBTED YOU*Scene fades out on Me, triumphantly raising fists with a rare feeling of motherly success.Note this was a true account, except for liberties taken between the *s at the end where I wistfully imagined my children (boys ages 3, 5, 7) actually recognizing they were wrong, and praising my spectacular mothering of them.Moral of the play: If you are even checking them out, just get these beads. They are simple yet magical and fun, and your kids will appreciate them/you, even if they don't say it.

Most of these beads are great, but 262 beads (about 1/4 of them) barely change color. They change from clear to a very pale light blue that is so light that you can barely tell they even change color at all compared to all the other beads. This is disappointing. I ordered these for a kid's craft at church and I won't be able to use the beads that barely change color, which means I can only use 3/4 of the beads I received. The ones that do change color noticeably are great and they do also glow in the dark.

I used nearly all 1000 of the beads in one day at an elementary school. I did presentations about being Sun safe this summer, UV radiation, and a few other solar related topics. The students then made bracelets using colored pipe cleaners and 10 beads each. They were 'blown away' when we went outside and the colors appeared. Then again after coming back inside where we turned off the room lights and the beads glowed.

LOVE these- came quickly and the Kids are in AWE!They change colour so quickly as well it is great to "test" UV rays behind windows, sunglasses, the "shade"

These are AMAZING!!! I bought them because I just wanted one bracelet, so I started selling items made out of these on Etsy. Search for Paintmonster! They work just like that! I have videos of them working on my facebook too. Again. search Paint monster and a page will appear. Highly recommend.

The beads were ok. I thought the color would be more brilliant. Quantity was useful for my classroom students. B

Kind of disappointed. Color change is not as noticeable as I had hoped.

The beads work well, even on cloudy days. Like the colors.
