We're planning to go to Europe this summer. You'd think that we should relish the opportunity to be "out of touch" for awhile, but no...everybody's been in a state of panic about ensure that their phones and tablets work even though they should be enjoying the nice scenery.With multiple adapters that work for international outlets, this hub's got us covered.But just to be on the safe side, I tested the hub and was able to charge my iPhone 6 plus from 25% to 100% with no problems.In terms of configuration, the arrangement of the outlet to the wall being perpendicular to the direction of the USB ports, while slightly awkward, does not bother me because in the vast majority of hotels we've stayed in, outlets are normally available next to a desk. Therefore, if you can picture this, this hub will be plugged into a wall and your devices will be sitting on a desk, while being plugged into this hub. It has 4 snap in plug adapters which cover the US, EU (Europe), UK (Great Brittan) and SAA (Australia). I can only test the US version and I did. It worked perfectly. I charged up my iPad and iPhone and Kindle and other USB devices. The port side lights up with blue lights that are on the bright side. This may not be perfect for a bedroom. The insert card says the first three ports are iPad ready and 4 & 5 are Galaxy ready. Whatever it says I got all my devices to charge just fine. It is fairly compact and you only really need to carry the plugs you will need on the road, though you may want to keep them all together in a soft bag, which is not included, but should have been, in my opinion.Still, this is a very good travel charger and can come in quite handy. It will go with me on my next trip abroad.This product was provided at no cost for the purpose of evaluation and review.

I would have liked to see a carry case included with this but unfortunately it was not.This USB wall charger is a 5 port charger capable of 5A/25W output. The ports are not smart charging ports though with 3 ports for Apple devices and 2 for Android devices. I initially didn't realize that as the ports on the charger are not marked and there is only a small illustration on the packaging that lists the ports compatibility. In the appropriate ports it charged new and old devices, although my Blackberry would only charge in two of the ports. The area surrounding the USB ports light up blue to indicate power, however it does not change color when something is charging or when it has finished charging. The universal adaptor design in an interesting idea but implemented in an awkward way. This charger must be plugged directly into the wall and because of the design with the way the international adaptors plug into the device, it means you either have the USB ports facing up to where the charger falls out of the wall easily (because of its weight and size) or facing down to where you cannot see them and it is more difficult to plug in. (Why aren't the USB ports on the opposite side as the wall plug?) In a surge strip it is less of an issue but in wall outlet this would be better if the adaptors were connected via an electrical cord with the changeable international plugs or the USB ports on the opposite side of the wall plug.This is a decent charger but could be a bit better designed as the plug design makes it awkward for wall outlet use. The ports should also be marked or made smart charging ports so any device could use any port. This 5 port USB charging device is designed to plug into any AC outlet (in any country, with the included travel adapters) so you can have power to charge up to 5 devices. This item seems to function smoothly in charging the items I tested it with. Since I'm not overseas for now I can't confirm that all the adapters are operating properly though I can't see any reason why they wouldn't since they all attach properly to the charger. It would have been nice if the adapters were something built in to the unit rather than separate attachments but if you don't mind having the separate attachments then this charger is OK. I was provided a free sample of this item for my honest review.

I made the mistake of saying I would review this product by not paying enough attention to exactly what it was for. I like it fine for its design and it does work well but I don't travel. My daughter does and I asked her if she could take it and try it. She looked at it and said that she had a product that was small and singular that did for all her electronics so why would she want something bigger and more to carry. Sorry that I wasn't very useful to the customer.
