The "ink" was what appeared to be dried up and I only got a "faint" outline of his paw print. I was pretty discouraged, however, there was nothing I could do at that point except point it out to them when I gave it to them. I'm not sure what other items are out there, but my experience with this particular item was absolutely unfavorable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1st try was easy, great print but GSD too smart for a 2nd one. *by L***7 on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2020* My 1st try I got a great paw print from my dog. Tried again on other paw & did not succeed. Read all instructions & then slowly do paw print. If your dog is like mine your 1st try will be the easiest. After that if they are too smart like my GSD it will be harder to get another done. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Work well with cat paws *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2020* We used this on our cat. Did not require heavy pushing into the mat of ink to come out well. One inking got several good prints. It did take one to restrain cat and second to hold leg above paw. Place onto pad with a bit of pressure. Then place paw with a bit of pressure to mark surface. I wish the ink pad came with how to clean off instructions.
