Even when keeping the device charged and adjusted to the appropriate tightness and system settings, this device has proven to work incredibly inconsistently. If you have a dog that is smart, stubborn and persistent, do not get this collar. My dog tests the limits of this device, and I'm sure she is banking on the fact that it only works properly about 50% of the time (maybe less). Everyone knows that consistency is key when training dogs and I'm so disappointed that this device fails in that area. Since there is no remote to go with it, I can't even manually make the collar work when it's programming fails. This collar was absolutely not worth the money. If you have a dog that is very docile and nervous, then this collar might work for you because if it works once or twice, that might be enough to curb your dogs bad barking habit.Sidenote: I have a miniature goldendoodle (poodle/golden retriever mix) who barks/howls like crazy when she wants attention. She is very stubborn but when the collar actually works, it does help her quiet down. But she knows that it doesn't work most of the time so she barks/howls nonstop if/until it finally does work and sometimes she will keep testing her limits, knowing that it will just stop working again.**UPDATE: It stopped working after about 5-6 weeks. It still powers on but it no longer does anything it's supposed to do. It doesn't even respond to manual testing.

This collar is sleek, easy to change settings, and the battery lasts long and charges quick! The downsides are I don't like the warning beep it always does at the first bark. If they don't bark again in 3 seconds it resets. So my dog learned to just bark once every 3 seconds so he only has to hear the beep not get a vibration or shock, he's pretty smart! The collar also loosens up really easily on its own and has almost fallen off. Decent collar just not a good fit for us.

I have purchased two other bark collars, one just stopped working and the other never really seemed to work, this has been the collar I’ve been needing. Easy to use, easy to adjust settings and works perfect. My dog went from a nuisance barker to almost nothing and I NEVER needed the shock function, just the beeping and vibration. She is a large(fat) black lab/pit mix and it worked on her. Highly highly recommend !!! Great battery life and truly water proof. Trust me on this !!!

The product itself had a great clean look, however even after reading the directions several times I was unable to get the device to work properly. It would shock my dog if she was walking across the kitchen floor. Because of the buttons were so easy to change it would shock my dogs if they were playing with each other. There was no way to Change settings except for on the collar itself. The collar never actually went off when my dog barked but when my dog moved too quickly. Poor product design!

It seemed a bit complicated at first. I was worried I would shock my dog. But after I first powered it up and put it on my poor dog Busta he cowered (as he’d worn a shock collar before) but then seemed quite happy. Until it beeped. It beeps first. Then it vibrates. I don’t think the shock comes on unless you program it to.In any case Busta didn’t bark when I left. He whined a bit but it was all quiet when I returned.His sister Rosie doesn’t bark much unless he sets it off. So it works and not as clunky as other collars.

Wish this would be a 5 star review, bought two and shock on one of them stopped working after two months. Hoping that seller will contact me and resolve with replacement

I bought this bark because it's very nice looking compared to many others. The problem is that it goes off when my husky his shakes head, I think it's caused by the clanking of the metal dog tag on his normal collar. If I turn the sensitivity down to avoid this problem it doesn't seem to work much when he barks. I also don't like that it doesn't give an initial warning beep before vibrating. The first time it's triggered it vibrates and beeps.
