Russell Outdoors Men's

Our Midwest winters can be brutal, so we wanted a proven name in ultra-warm men's outer wear, which is why we chose Russell brand. We gave this jacket in a men's small to our son for his 14th birthday and he LOVES IT!! He snatched it from the box and immediately put it on and wore it indoors the whole time he was opening the rest of his gifts. He was so excited to have such a cool (warm) coat.It is a well made coat....sleeves are plenty long, the jacket hits mid thigh, and the hood is well insulated and warm. The camo material is a silky fabric that isn't cold to the touch. It also is a 'quiet' fabric, so you don't hear that annoying zip-zip sound every time the person moves.We would definitely purchase this coat again.

This jacket is better than I thought . Its quiet but not as quiet as the gale 4 soft shell but very warm when the temps plummet and it's spitting snow and rain .The only short coming maybe the lack there of extra pockets , just 2 hand pockets but if it keeps you warm and dry and that what counts to me. Great buy and quick delivery.

I tried several coats before settling on this one for cold weather. This is a parka, not a jacket, due to the length, and thickness of insulation. It is not a jacket you would throw on when temps are above 35 degrees. The best feature is the hood that rolls up and zips into the collar. It's there when you need it and out of the way when you don't. And the zip to chin collar is more comfortable than most. Like most Russell outdoor wear, the quality is excellent, sizing runs a bit small.

I did like that the coat was insulated with Primaloft . The fit in a large was a bit snug for layering and the collar came up too high on my chin which I was not comfortable with. I tried it in an XL and that one was way too big so I sent both back. I will wait and see what Russel comes out with for 2013. Overall I think the quality of the line is very good it just wasn't for me.

have only used it once goose hunting on a blistery cold day.put on over my russell apx g4 and it blocked the cold and wind no problem.looking forward to using it next fall ELK hunting in N.E. IDAHO AS THIS WAS THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT IT.WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMEND IT TO FRIENDS AS I ALREADY HAVE. WILD BILL IDAHO

I bought this for my son for Christmas. We were very pleased with the pattern and material. We live in Florida, so I can't speak for really cold areas, but he had it on when the temp was in the 30's and he said it was very warm.

I'm becoming a fan of APX clothing line. I bought this for a trip to Alaska. We were on the tundra for a week chasing caribou. This jacket was plenty warm, waterproof, and tough. I got it for a closeout price and couldn't be happier.

My son loves this coat, he says it keeps him very warm. I also like it because it is not too loud when he is sitting next to me hunting in the same stand. Excellent overall value
