Exceptional Premium Shave Cream from Italy at Affordable Prices
I can't say enough about how much I love Proraso shave products. They are non-comedogenic meaning their products won't clog your pores. I have used almost all of the different Proraso shave soaps in bowls and their creams. Currently I am using the Proraso sensitive skin shave bowl along with their sensitive skin preshave cream. It adds a layer of protection/slickness for the skin before applying the shave cream. Their line is sensitive skin products come in the easily recognizable white packaging. All of the different scents of Proraso's shave products are wonderful. This has an almost floral, honeysuckle scent. I think honeysuckle is probably the best description for the sensitive skin line of shave originate products. It's very subdued though, a subtle scent, not overwhelming. This is not designed to be applied by hand. You could apply by hand but you will never build foam that way. Nor will to be able to elevate your whiskers. This requires a shave brush. However I would not purchase Proraso's shave brushes. They use boar hair bristles. You want to find a badger hair shave brush. The bristles are softer and develop an even nicer texture over time. I have had the same one for years. You can find many affordable options on Amazon. I bought my badger hair shave brush on Amazon. I bought the Rocky Mountain Barber Pure 100% Best Badger Hair Barber Grade with a stand almost 7 years ago. In fact, it will be exactly 7 years ago in six days. Grab it! I looked, it's still available on Amazon for a measly $23.99! For badger hair, that's a steal. 🚨HOW TO APPLY 🚨 Now, why you need a brush. This isn't Gillette Foamy, for two reasons, after using Gillette Foamy your face will hate you for awhile. It probably won't even be on speaking terms with you until you upgrade from Grandpa's shave cream to this. Secondly, you don't squeeze this into your hand and use fingers to apply it. This is similar to using a bowl but maybe easier. 1. Wet your brush with hot water. 2. Shake a small amount of the water out but not too much. If you brush is dripping with water and you apply the cream to your face, properly, which I will explain how, you'll see why. Let's say that you will probably have to clean the mirror and the whole sink area. You will get a feel for how much water you need on the brush. I have had a few cleanups as a beginner. 3. Put an inch, maybe an inch and a half of shave cream on the brush. 4. To create foam like Gillette Foamy and make Grandpa jealous, take the brush and keep going around your face on quick circular motions. As you do that multiple times around your face the cream will start to build into that beautiful Cool Whip™️ foam that pillows on your face. I would suggest getting Proraso's Preshave Cream to accompany this, or any shave cream you use. Their products are PREMIUM, they are all still made on Italy, but they are sold at a ridiculously affordable price. Their shave creams and soaps and preshave creams last a long time also.

Great Shave Cream for Sensitive Skin
I really like this shaving cream. It gives a smooth shave, lathers up well, and feels gentle on my skin. No heavy scent, no irritation, and a little goes a long way. Great product and definitely worth keeping in the rotation.

No irritating allergen formula by Proraso? Yes please!
If you've tried other formulations of Proraso (namely the tube formulations), you know it's going to be a great shave. This sensitive skin version is no exception, it delivers a slick, cushiony lather, whether you face or bowl (scuttle, mug, or what have you) and brush lather. Like the other versions, the lather retains moisture very well, so no drying out on your face or in your bowl. If you're finding that irritation is a problem, and you're bouncing from blade manufacturer to blade manufacturer, try this formula. I know some folks have a sensitivity to nickel, or sometimes the hyper-scientific marketing termed blade coatings; this problem is no joke. This formula, with green tea and oatmeal may be just the ticket. Want to try it? Preparation is key for this experiment, so let your face or scalp rest for a few days, to heal and rest; just deal with the stubble, and let the haters hate. Mount up your trusted, tried-and-true blade of choice, and lather up with the sensitive skin magical brew, and have yourself a shave. Be mindful of your technique, because you'll be more aware of how this formula provides such a solid and pleasant cushion and glide for your razor. Done shaving? Great now hold up...Don't use your usual post-shave routine. Got an alum block? If not, get one. I suggest the Proraso block, it's made in ITALY, not CHINA...so you can have a bit more confidence that the block is alum, not some mystery composition. After applying the alum, wait a full minute, and rinse with COLD water, then PAT, not wipe or rub your face dry. Give yourself at least thirty seconds, and apply the sensitive skin post-shave balm, you don't want to use something with alcohol in it, which may dry out your freshly shaved face or scalp. Next? Reap the benefits of a great shave, without the usual irritation. As always, YMMV with any and all shaving related products. Just a personal note about the fragrance. This formula has what I'd describe as a citrus-like scent. I find it clean, and refreshing. But, you know how it goes, others categorize it as awful. I would say that it is nowhere near as polarizing as the scent of ARKO (urinal cake, anyone?). If you like some of the grapefruit smelling citrus based shaving soaps, creams, and aftershave stuff out there, this will not disappoint.

Wonderful Product With One Slight Packaging Flaw
I truly enjoy using this product! I specifically purchased the sensitive skin formula because I have the tendency to press down too hard and irritate my neck and jawline area. The form factor is very nice, slightly larger than a tube of toothpaste, and the tubing itself is a high grade and feels very durable. One word of caution is that the screw-top, at least in my case, broke. The threading inside the plastic cap seems to just be a ring that can be snapped apart from the cap itself. As a result, the ring with the threading is attached to the tube, the cap is sitting on my counter top, and depending on how long I go between shaves, the shaving cream which is exposed to the air dries to become a dense mass with the consistency of refrigerated butter. I will probably try unscrewing the plastic piece with pliers and crazy gluing it back to the cap at some point. Until then, I will just need to store the dense clumps of shaving cream in a small jam jar so they don't end up in the garbage. When creating a lather, I merely squeeze a dab (about the size of a lima bean) onto my badger brush that has soaked and been shaken to remove a majority of the water. From there, I just build the lather by brushing across my face. The shaving cream begins to spread to the rest of the brush and goes from a sudsy lather to a richer, fuller lather that coats the skin without gunking up the razor blade. The scent is very fresh! The green tea cuts through very well and I am usually tempted to not put on aftershave or moisturizer simply because of how pleasant the lather smells.

All Time Favorite Shaving Cream
I am a 37 year old man that has been shaving since I was 16. I have coarse wiry facial hair and super sensitive skin. Recently I started to wet shave with a DE and shavette. I also started sporting a shaved head because I was tired of looking at my receding hairline that gets a little bit worse every year. I have sported a full beard off and on since 2006. I still have to shave my neck and clean up my cheeks and eye brow area along with trimming my nether regions. I have used a plethora of different disposable razors and shave gels. My go to before discovering shaving cream and soaps was usually Gillette Sensitive Shave Gel. Occasionally I would use cheap body wash to shave or just dry shave with the disposables. Needless to say I got used to having razor burn and bumps that would usually go away in a day or two until I shaved again. I just learned to live with it and thought that it wasn't possible for me to not have bumps and ingrown hairs. I started using a shavette and a Handlebar Shaving Company Oculus Matte Black Stainless Steel Safety Razor about 4 months ago. The latter is a super aggressive short handled DE. I picked up a Merkur 37c Slant Bar Safety Razor last week. The past couple of months I have also been experimenting with various shave soaps and shaving creams. I started using this shaving cream last week. This cream has been a game changer. I have zero razor burn, and zero bumps and ingrown hairs. It's nothing short of a miracle. This cream allows for many mistakes with all 3 of my razors. I have fallen in love with it. The cream creates a thick and creamy lather; and mighty easy to whip up I may add. If you have sensitive skin and/or coarse facial hair I can highly recommend this cream. I will add that the scent may take some getting used to. It is hard to describe except for saying that it has a peculiar, but pleasing natural smell. I am going to try the soap next, but I can't imagine it being better than the cream. Easily 5 stars and I don't give those out that often.

The shaving cream that corrects all your bad shaving choices
My review will be of interest to you if one of the following is true: * You're bald * Shaving causes your skin to bruise or burn * You have ingrown hairs on your face or head * You are African-American or some other course hair type I have a goatee and a bald head. Finding the right shaving cream and razor is extremely important. Unfortunately, doing so can be a life journey! lol I recently found myself in a Art of Shaving, buying a new traditional safety razor (which by the way, was one of the best decisions of my life!) but I couldn't justify the prices they charge for their shaving creams. I've found all those pseudo-luxury brands from Target's and similar stores to be terrible. They smell great, but they don't condition the face or scalp hairs. Which means the shave can hurt, leave bruises or cuts and makes you go through razors quicker. Prorsaso answers this issues. It lathers perfectly, quickly softens and conditions the hair and offers a very close shave - when paired with the right razor. Close shaves can create more problems for those of us with sensitive skin or ingrown hairs (especially on your head!). I have found that shaving with Proraso that in less than 4 shaves, you will find ingrown hairs are noticeably lessened, and there is virtually no bruising shortly after your shave. If you have course or curly hair, or you're African-American, this will be a relief. As certain hair types are just harder to cut without the proper shaving cream. The easiest way to determine if this shaving cream offers you a closer shave without irritating your skin is to use your old cream, shave and apply alcohol to your shave area afterwards (like a barber would). Do the same with Proraso and gauge which experience stings more. I guarantee you that Proraso is going to sting less and have you feeling more confident about your appearance. I can't say how easier it is to shave my head using Proraso. Less irritation. Less leftover hair. Less ingrown hairs. Again, remember I am coupling this shaving cream with a traditional safety razor. I think that is important to note. Proraso smells "unique". In a really great way. It a scent I've never known and I enjoy it quick a bit. It blends well with soaps, after shaves and colognes. It's subtle and refreshing. My face and head look better after just a week or so of use. Remarkable.

Was a favorite
This was a great shaving cream. However, the past two order it has been runny and gritty as if it was not allowed to cool or finish the process.
