We decided to go with a spray collar as one of our options because we have a puppy and want to use the gentlest deterrant to see if it helps curb her barking. I have used a couple of different collars with another dog and this one seems to work well with the puppy. I've used a battery powered one that seems to always have dead batteries that need changed. That gets tiresome. I also have a collar that is remote control powered which has worked really well but you have to be home and listening to to hit the button when they bark. That's unrealistic so it doesn't truly train them to stop. What's wonderful about this one in particular is that it's rechargeable, no need to keep buying batteries all the time. It's powered by the bark so it actually trains them. And it just sprays something they don't like. This has worked wonders on the pup. She doesn't bark at everything just yet but she does get in moods where she will. The vibrate doesn't hurt her, it's just an odd smell she doesn't like and makes her stop barking. She'll bark at something 2 times then stops.

This product was not as described. I ordered two for my dogs. I took my chance because there were mixed reviews. One of the collars never worked, ever! Amazon was great at replacing the product immediately. The second worked great for about a week and then a blue light came on and 2 weeks later still will not shut off. We have reset, tried to let the battery die, and followed all the instructions but nothing has worked. The replacement collar worked for about a week then it shut off (without the blue light) and will not turn back on. The concept is great and when it worked for 5 days my dogs hated when it sprayed. But it stopped working. Oh I forgot to mention that one of the two collars would spray when my dog would shake his neck. Crazy!! Don’t waste your time, money, efforts in returning and frustration.

Like all citronella sprayers, for dogs that respond well to the citronella spray this is great! The spray is powerful. I have a dog care service so the adjustable collar is really nice; it's easy to adjust and fits most dogs (if the dog is too little for the collar he/she is too little to get this spray). The big problem is that it works only 1/3 of the time. It's hard to fill with citronella and runs out quickly. Or it has citronella in it but it doesn't spray. When it's on and not having to spray the battery works quite a while; when the dog is a barker and the collar is working it loses charge pretty quickly. All in all I would not recommend because $30+ on something that only randomly works is not worth it.

I can't believe it but this really does work. It's kinda crazy. My dog is a guard dog so barking is what he does but at night in suburbia, the neighbors need to sleep. I've tried the sonic collars and hanging devices to mitigate the big fella's barking to no avail. In fact, the sonic devices seem to make him bark more aggressively but this spray collar thing... I'm just shocked. Even, I had to be convinced as I'm a true skeptic having spent a couple of hundred dollars on multiple devices. But I can't deny it after 3 months. We live by this thing. It works. So much so that we know when to refill it because sure enough he just starts barking again little by little but as soon as we refill it... all quiet through the night. I'm still tripping that it really does work on my big dog... but it does.

We have three rescued dogs with a variety of behavioral issues. Mostly, we have had a problem with them charging the door and barking their heads off if someone approaches the front door or rings the doorbell.The product is pretty easy to set up. It's important to aim the spray toward their nose for greatest result.We are only on day 2 of training. The first day the dogs were surprised by the scent. We had good results saying "No bark, collar!" after putting the collars on them.We had several families visiting for a holiday meal. With the collars on they were mostly silent. It was amazing. I have noticed my dogs now seem afraid to bark since they have not made the connection with the collar and the scent. The scent appears to catch them surprise and silences them mid-bark. It's quite amazing.

I got two for my German Shepherd/Anatolian mixes, which are pretty average-build dogs with maybe a slightly longer nose than normal. The collar wouldn't trigger without multiple consecutive barks, usually at least three. The spray most often hit their fur despite multiple attempts to fit it better. The collar can also be triggered by another dog barking in their face, which my dogs learned and enjoyed triggering the other dog's collar. Overall, they were not irritated, fazed, or deterred by the citronella spray which may partly be due to inconsistent triggering. They were quickly able to learn to space out the barking to avoid triggering the collar, the only sign that maybe the spray was less than desirable. Even when they triggered it enough for my house to smell like citronella, they were still barking.Pros:- Easy to charge, decent battery life- Refillable- Automatic triggerCons:- Rarely sprayed the dogs in the face, most often hitting their neck hairs- Requires multiple consecutive barks to trigger- Can trigger if another dog is barking, such as during play- Overall, dogs were unfazed

I tested this and finally thought I had something that would help control obsessive barking. But not long after having it.. .maybe a month ??? ... it quit working. The citronella never sprayed. I reached out and never got any response from the company for any help or support. VERY disappointed. I have been purchasing so many collars - bark collars, vibrate, citronella... just getting tired of throwing money away on crappy products that don't work much after a few weeks.

After 6 months the battery was no longer able to be charged making the collar unusable. I guess I should of known betterBecause I had purchased one previously for another dog and the same thing happened.
