Take your time do the proper prep work and I'll explain the process that I used, because straight out-of-the-box. I don't know if the results would be as good. First thing I did using blue painter's tape was I masked off the areas I was not going to put the Eva on. It is important that your tape lines are straight and also any radius you want into the foam flooring are cut out of the tape. Then I used clear plastic drop cloth, laid that over the deck and traced out my tape. Then the clear plastic drop cloth became my templates. Next wipe the entire deck surface with acetone. You'll want to unroll the Eva flooring at least a day prior to working with it. Otherwise it will curl up on you. The backing paper that comes on the Eva is impossible to trace on. So with my wife's help, we used hand pressure to hold the templates in place while we cut them out. If you are cutting the Eva with the backing paper up. Make sure you have your template laid in the right direction (so it will be upside down from how you drew it out.) You can cut the Eva with standard scissors. Now here comes the trick. The adhesion on the back of the Eva is absolutely horrible. The second part to why masking off was important, is because you're going to use 3M super 77 spray adhesive. (which can be bought at any local home improvement store) the painters tape will keep from getting overspray on surfaces you don't want covered. Spray the entire area where the Eva is going to go. Make sure you focus it on the edges where your tape ends. Only peel half the backing paper off at a time. Try to make sure you're lined up as you're placing it. The 3M spray adhesive does not give you much time to move it around. You will need to apply weight strategically overnight to allow the adhesive to set up. After that remove the painters tape and admire your work

I ordered 4 rolls at the same time since most often this gives you more consistency with color and cut. Unfortunately, instead of installing today I've spent the time photographing 3 major issues and believed to be most helpful for other consumers.ISSUE #1: The brown color is inconsistent between the rolls. I read a similar review on the predecessor product, (Eva Synthetic Teak Deck Mat For Boat UV Resistant 94.5"x35.4") to this one without beveled edges. Of the four rolls 1 was obviously lighter as shown in the second picture.ISSUE #2: Another one of the four rolls the width of the bevel was an 1/8 of an inch narrower than that of the other three rolls. Thus making the width of the black-ish stripe impossible to match up with the other lines. first pictureISSUE#3: The "Black" stripe in between is Black-ish...being only Black-Black in a few spots with the rest being quite dull. Pictures 3-5*I've also included pictures of the sticky backing. Not sticky enough to hold up to marine life exposure. Picture 6*This product is a single piece of foam molded to make shapes of boards with 2 colors applied to it. Picture 7Ive returned 3 rolls. will try again and hope for correct color. Will update soon

Zero stars, this product is cheap garbage, first of all it comes wound up in a little box so tightly that the backing paper that covers the sticky on the back is all loose, you need to lay it out and put weight on it for two days before you can use it.I ordered in two different orders because I wanted to check out the fit before I got more, here's the really bad part - the color is WAY different than the first batch and the lines are just a little smaller on the second batch I received.This product shrinks after you cut it! ,,, also it's been on my swim platform for a week and you can see that it's shrinking even more and looks like it's already changing color, kinda looks like a pink eraser.Lastly, it does not stick down very well at all!, caution caution caution, I don't recommend

The product is exactly what it said it would be. Giving it 5 stars because you can’t make your boat look brand new for any cheaper. I redid my 20’ center console with 4 sheets and have some to spare. First I ordered the hydro turf knock off. Off of amazon. It was way to hard and very thin. Returned it and went with this. The material is much softer and more pliable. Cuts very easy with a razor knife. My only caution would be to MAKE SURE to double up on your adhesive. I used 3m maximum strength spray adhesive with the sheets and the stuff is never coming up.The bad reviews are probably coming from people who expected too much from the product. If you want high end sea decking? Go with actual seadeck. I did my whole boat for 300$ and people compliment it every time they see it.

Likes:- Cost is very inexpensive/affordable...I used a name brand company for my Swim Deck Platform = $850.00 (108" X 46") Deck.- Look is adequate. Acceptable. Exactly what I thought it was going to be based on low price. Way better than the 16 Year old Nasty carpet it replaced. Night and Day look. Great fit and finish- Easy to cut and manipulate- Shipping was quick- Alleviated mold smell from prior carpet.Dislike- Foam is too thin.- Factory Adhesive is sub-par...and they tell you that in the install instructions. I had 3M Adhesive Spray on stand by. Use it liberally. Make sure whatever surface you place this on is prepped (Sanded, Primed, Epoxy Sealed- Slight Color difference between sheets...did not bother me. Lots of shadows and differing light in the Boats Cabin and it's not noticeable.**Based on the prior comments I'd be very hesitant to place this product anywhere that direct sunlight will hit. Lots of comments on "shrinking" etc. Perfect for inside flooring by the Kitchen, toilet, group table and sleeping birth.

Great product so far. Sticks well to fiberglass surface. Ribs good for added traction. I put it in my Finn dinghy.

Bought two rolls and the black line was not the same. Hard to stick down. Hard to clean! Not the best product. But cheaper than Seadeck! Get what you pay for.

very impressed with the produce, it's been installed on my swim platform all summer in a saltwater environment and holding up great. Plus, the company was great to work with.
