Handtrux XL Backhoe "The Amazing Handraulic Power Grip" Sand Toy (1 Handtrux Per Order)

I expected much more for $50.00! It is basically a piece of cheap plastic worth about $3.99, not $50! The add is misleading to make you think that there are hydraulics involved, while there is nothing. I would have been embarrassed to give this as my main Christmas present, so I returned it. The company charged me a 20% restocking fee, which is outrageous. I should have listened to the other 1 star review. I am sure that the 5 star reviews were written by someone who did not buy the product!

I originally got this product to hopefully have some fun this summer on the beach. I wasn't too worried about the reviews on here because most of them complained about the packing and that was it.The product however is really poorly made and expensive considering the finish of it. The toy is full of jagged edges that tear at the skin and break it open I still have a mark where I used it a month later. And the pressure all transfers against your arm instead of your hand. (Picture attached is 1 day after use)I don't know if this would work for a child with smaller hands/arms but mine really aren't big I actually have small hands for a guy.If you plan on getting these anyway I recommend you get something moldable to put over the jagged edges

We got this for our 4 year old nephew who is "all boy." He loves all things construction, big and small. This was a HUGE hit with him, once his mom put her arm in and showed him what it did. He was ready to open it even before all his other gifts were unwrapped. Needless to say, it went on the moment he was allowed and he went right to his dirt pile. It looks totally cool on too, like a robot hand. Other reviewers reported there were sharp edges inside; I checked ours and it was real smooth. It's very sturdy as well. We are really pleased with this product and the price is good. If you have a boy who loves construction toys and such, he will love this.

This is a pretty simple and slick idea. I loved to use it from the start; it took the boys (3 years old) a little while to get used to the idea, but now they love it, too. They can be a digger! A backhoe! I think also that the joint was a little tight when first opened, such that i could flex the bucket with one hand, while the boys couldn't... but after some actual sand play, it loosened up so that they could as well.Not only is it fun, but it's really improved the boys digging efficiency. Projects are completed in much less time! It scoops a big scoop!

I bought these for beach toys for my 7yo son, 8 yo nephew, and 4 yo grandson. The grandson absolutely loves them. He likes to wear them around as "robot arms". They don't get much use at the beach because the amount of sand they move doesn't seem that satisfying to the bigger boys although it kind of works. Probably good if you have a kid that is into construction equipment or possibly a different type of sand. They are large enough for me to put them on as well.

Perfect for our trips to the beach!!! Almost one year old and still going strong. If you have a little construction worker, this is a great buy!!

So much fun for the kids on the beach. Highly durable, they stood up well to 5/6 year old usage. No metal parts so there's no rusting from water or salt air/water from the beach. Sand particles didn't slow down the movement at the hinge that much. They're not as efficient than a shovel, but they are 1000% more fun.

I'm buying a lot of products lately that have great design, but bad materials or great concept, but not quite there.This is yet another one of those products that leave me conflicted. The concept is just great, but when I put my hand in to test it, I was almost cut by some of the sharpest plastic edges. I mean so sharp that I think you could actually cut yourself. That said, the design was so cool, that I went to the trouble to break out the dremel tool and sandpaper and spend a couple minutes cleaning it up. I'm not sure that most people will want to go through all that, but I was willing to. I will be contacting the company to let them know what I think, but just be warned about the edges.I have questions as to how well it will hold up, but I will report back after it gets some good summer time usage at the beach.

this is for my nephews birthday and I know he is going to love it - I want to keep it. would receommend this as it is so safe - just a little bit pricey

Excellent product and worth the wait, however in the photo image the child has two but you will only receive one of the them.
