Drop in replacement for a number of medical beds.
I have a family elder who uses a medical bed and this was a drop in replacement for the one in his adjustable bed. The wired controller had been ripped from its cable and it was easier to just replace the entire unit than to figure out which control was needed and order it separately. On the plus side, it is extremely easy to install this unit. No tools required. It is also possible to replace the control head alone. Minus side is the control head is expensive relative to the rest of the unit and difficult to determine exactly which part you need. For example, this is the exact same model I replaced but they have different controllers. That said, I am certain they are interchangeable.Overall, for the price, this is fine. It's not especially powerful though. Each of the little motors in about 50 watts, so I'm not sure how well it would work moving a heavier patient. But for most? It's easy to install and does what it's supposed to do.

Works perfectly
I was nervous because I was using this for an adjustable sleep number But everything went perfectly.. The cord is too short as most people mention but not a deal breaker…I haven’t really tried jumping on the bed when the motor is raised yet but when/if it breaks, I’ll update this review..

Exact replacement for broken hospital bed lift motor
This is the exact same lift motor used on most hospital beds. It wasn't hard to install and works great. The original motor had a plastic part break. This one has the same plastic part so I hope it lasts a few years before any problems. But the cost was good and solved my problem quickly.

These always break within a year don't buy it!
These are not designed well. They always break at the upper portion that supports your head. This is the second one and both broke within a year or shortly there after. The plastic it is made of is not strong enough for continued uses. You will go to raise your head one day and just hear a loud snap sound and that means its over. The whole upper housing cracks into pieces.I will be purchasing the motor with the metal pistons. I suggest you do the same or you will be replacing yours once a a year too!
