M & M they are all here!
I started out playing M&M VI 10 years ago (Wow- it has really been that long??) and have been addicted ever since. This product has 6(VI) through 9(IX) versions with CD's and maps, but no manuals. I figured that may be the case when I ordered them as I got them new from a marketplace seller at a very good price. At least my brother will be glad there will be no more borrowing of his games/CD's!I gather that the manuals are on the CD's, and there are always webrings and sites other players have that are helpful if I get stuck or need to know something.Even though the first 3 of these games (VI through VIII) gave me addicting hours of game play (and YEARS of addicting replay ; ) I gave 4 stars because I am wondering what in the world they did to IX or 9??It seems like it was thrown together to just get something out there. As with all other games they had to try some new thing or interface that to me, messed things up. I am not very far into the game but got so frustrated when I got to the (M-wherever) islands that I turned it off. I will try again as a devoted M & M player, but so far it is horrible. It sort of reminds me of Myst where you wander around by yourself with no one else around. The ally characters you meet (in IX) are just standing there-not moving or animated (except for the dumb enemies that attack)--that I have seen so far. I don't like the new character inventory either. Maybe it will hold more items than the old. Maybe I just need to take some time to get used to the "new"?We shall see.For sure though I will be going back to my saved VIII game that I am almost finished with as it is much more exciting. If they make any more M & M's they need to go back to what WAS doing well before IX!

Nostalgia Rush!
I used to own the original M&M 6 and 8 back in the day.I loved those games, but never got to play parts 7 and 9.I found this bundle for a great price here in Amazon a few years back (seems that the price has recenltly gone up).Still, it is totally worth purchasing. MM6,7 and 8 are instant classics, beautiful music (MM6 specially), and interesting story. The Music CDs alone for these games are worth the price of admission (IMO)! Plus you can stick them right into your car's CD player and you're good to go!Smooth 1st person gameplay which was revolutionary at the time of their release, has aged very well. Specially if you apply one of the high-res texture mods floating around the net.The package includes 2 Discs for every game, plus full world maps for each one.I only took 1 star off due to the underwhelming M&M9, which really took a step back for the whole series.

Might and Magic Platinum Edition
This is a great product if you are familiar with the might and magic series at all. You can spend hours playing and not get board. Lots of quests and skills to perfect. I have not played might and magic 7 through 9 yet, but Might and Magic 6 has been pretty good, however you do need to find and download a patch for this game or you are likely to not get any music working with it.[...]

Amazing Games, Need Patches
These games are classics. Unfortunately, they were originally programmed for older computers. On modern computers, it will take a lot of work and tinkering to get these run smoothly. Music skips, graphics flicker, and some dungeons have doors that won't open. There are some 3rd party patches available online like Greyface's, but even they won't solve all of the problems.

The Ones that Run are Great
Although this contains the disks for MM6, 7, 8 and 9, only 6 and 9 run on my system. I am totally hooked on MM6 and have been since it first came out. After installing 7 and 8, they would not run on my system, so I cannot say if I like them or not. MM9 runs, but I still like 6 the best. It may be old and outdated to some people, but a classic is a classic regardless what new stuff comes out.

Disappointment
The headline might sound harsh, but that's how I feel.I bought this game quite some time ago, but could not install and play it until now. To make it a short story, the requirements indicate that most any Windows system works for these games. Well..., guess what.Only one game (IX) can be installed in my old Dell with Windows XP. VI, VII, and VIII, as good as they might have been will stay put in the box for good. For the inquiring minds: It would seem that my computer has too much memory for the games. It asks for 16 MB and my playing computer has all of 2GB.Thanks for listening!

3 of the best plus 1 extra!
Might and Magic is by far one of the greatest RPG games I have ever played. VI VII and VIII are fun challenging and all around a great time and you will be playing them for days on end. IX can be played and it pretty decent as long as you use the unofficial patches located all over the web. This was a great buy!
