Solid upgrade from the stock drive.
I upgraded the stock drive on my 11" Macbook Air, Mid 2011 model (A1370) with this drive. So far from what I can tell, this seems to be a fairly substantial upgrade speedwise. I went from a 128GB to a 256GB and according to BlackMagic Disk Speed Test, the read/and write speeds have nearly doubled. I've attached a screenshot so you can see the before and after benchmarks for yourself. The top section is before the upgrade of course. The actual install was simple. The OS is already pre-installed so that's a very nice touch. Kudos to Fledging for making this an easy upgrade. At the time of this review, the App Store only prompted me for one update to the OS. I'm pretty happy with this upgrade. I would have went with the 500GB drive but it's substantially more pricey than the 256GB.

Just what my MacBook Air needed
Needed to revive my MacBook Air for travel. It only had 128gb ssd drive, which isn’t enough for travel pictures and videos. I had previous experience with Fledging with an older MBA, so I used them again. Quick and painless install. Comes preloaded with High Sierra. Once that was load on, I installed Big Sur, then Time Machine off a portable HD and I was up and running! Could not have been easier. I will add more to my MacBook Pro!

Beginner friendly! Easy and worth the money!
I am thrilled with this purchase. It’s as easy as dropping the new SSD into the Mac. I went with this product because I liked the idea of having the OS preinstalled. Whole process took about 5 minutes and I have never opened up a Mac before today! If you are worried about installing an SSD into your Mac, don’t be! Just go with this, it really was that easy!

Very nice SSD
Very nice SSD. Having Mac OS preinstalled was great. It works just as it should. It pretty much revived our MacBook Air. Easy to install and the tools included were very helpful.

MacBook Air 2011
Installed quickly; includes Torx screwdrivers for both case and smaller screw on SSD. Boots up Mac OS. MacBook Air 2011 usable again. Not sure what killed old SSD (drive not even recognized by recovery). Been using for elearning, so maybe heat from constant Chrome browser + Google Meet + whatever else. Will ask kiddo to go easy on the multitasking.

Worked perfect!
I had the death screen. Fortunately I had a backup on my Time Machine. I simply opened the computer, replaced the drive, screwed the back on, and turned on the computer while holding down command and r. It rebooted, found my wireless and Time Machine, and a couple hours later it worked!! I seriously thought it wouldn't be so easy. I decided to load Sierra and it is working fine. 250gb drive.

NOT compatible with MacBook Airs ~2012.
It says its the correct memory, but it isn't. The slots are not correctly aligned in the correct manner. As a pure external memory then? It's OK. It does work as being an external working backup of an OSX; and therefore an alright diagnostic method/tool.

Great SSD!
This SSD is amazing!Very easy to install in my Apple Air.Boots right up and following the simple menus, installs the latest OS that works on your computer. The latest OS my mid-2011 Air will run is High Sierra and sure enough it installed it. I was running Mountain Lion.Highly recommend this product!

Easy install, works flawless
Never thought to be able to bring my loyal 2011 MacBook Air back to life. After the original SSD gave up late last fall I had already written off the laptop, just to find out just now that that it has a second life in it. This drive is awesome, super easy to install, and on top comes pre-loaded with High-Sierra. The swap was over in about five minutes, all you have left to do is either restore a time machine backup or sit out the time it takes for the updates to install. Super pleased. This review is for the 128GB version, I'm sure the other capacities work equally seamless. Pay close attention to the MacBook model numbers though, including the EMC number.

Super easy to fit, works flawlessly and an absolute bargain!
I was looking for a standalone internet machine and remembered I had an old (2010) MacBook Air. The Feather M10 SSD arrived really quickly after I ordered it. It comes complete with the 2 screwdrivers you need to install it. It took me about 5-10 mins to swap the SSD over and the machine booted first time. The SSD was pre-configured with the OS so the MacBook Air started like a brand new machine. The SSD is definitely faster than the original Apple SSD so the cost of the new SSD is worth that alone. Good instructions from the seller and simple to install. I'm totally pleased with it and can't recommend the SSD or the seller (FLEX) highly enough. Fabulous!

Worked great for about an hour
Bought the Feather M10 256GB for a 2011 macbook air A1369. The package was received on time and in excellent condition. Install took about 10 mins and the computer booted without having to do any firmware upgrades. I thought I was in the clear with this machine so started to install apps and set things up the way I like them. Unfortunately the spinning beach ball came back and this machine no longer boots. The brand new SSD is showing as corrupt and can't be repaired by disk utilies. I'm pretty sure the problem is with the computer and not the Feather M10. 5 stars since it was working pretty sweet until I tried to unmount a .dmg that was left over from an app installation; same kinda thing I was doing with the old drive when it failed in a similar manner.
