Organic Lard (2 Pack)

We ordered this lard almost a month ago and absolutely love it. Several months ago I started doing research about all of the harmful additives that are in food. My husband and I have started eating "real" food. Lots of organic fruits and vegetables and organic meat when possible. We were cooking with coconut oil, olive oil and butter and my husband said I wish we could find organic lard. I was so happy to find this on Amazon I ordered 2 jars. We cook most of our meals in cast iron to avoid the chemicals in non-stick coating and this lard is perfect for that type of cooking. I am so proud to say that my hubby has lost 46 lbs since we changed the way we eat. The lard has a bit of a smell to it in the jar, but we don't find the smell unpleasant and it does not alter the taste of the food we cook at all. A little goes a long way. We will definitely order again, I highly recommend this product for any one who wants to cook with healthy fats the way our ancestors did.

I love using this in my cooking. It tastes great. What a difference there is between this and the hydrogenated product typically found in the grocery!

Has a very distinct taste. Would not recommended for baked items such as cake. Otherwise it goes well with beans and sauteed cabbage.

I have been very happy using this lard. I never thought I would ever say that! It doesn't take a lot, and enhances whatever I cook with it.

This product is great for frying eggs etc. This is my second purchase.

I use this to cook French fries, and I use it to make savory pie crusts. It is an awesome product.
