Works like a charm in our backyard and the color was a fairly decent match to our other stuff! I am pleased with the mechanical "cranking system" to raise and lower the vented top, water resistant umbrella. Granted, this is not the thickest "stalk" or pole however, neither is it the thinnest! it is made of tubular steel and my guess is if given minimum care with the use of an umbrella cover it should last many, many, seasons especially if kept in a storage shed (or some such accommodation) in the off season! I'm in NYC and the winters can sometimes be brutal.Hey folks, I spend a small fortune in time, energy and moola on buying and using stuff that I buy here on amazon so if this review was HELPFUL, please give me a click!!?? I loved the umbrella when we received it, very nice looking and looked just as advertised. A very nice addition on our patio. Ordered on a Wednesday, received on Saturday. As is our bad luck, the tilt mechanism was defective and broke after 4 days. I contacted the seller and they responded immediately saying they would replace the umbrella. These things happen through no one's fault. I am very impressed with the seller's service and would definitely order from them again.

The lights don’t work. They worked the second day it was up (assuming it takes a day to charge) and then haven’t worked sense though is out in the full North Carolina sun all day.UPDATE: I changed from two stars to four stars. The customer service team was extremely responsive. They provided potential solutions for the issue and when those didn't work they offered a partial refund of the product. I am happy with the umbrella overall and believe that with a partial refund it brings the umbrella down to a cost that is reasonable and matches what I would have been willing to pay for an umbrella of this quality without lights. I also had to clean it after a recent storm and it was super easy to clean (I used dish soap).

I received my 1st purchase on 7/23 and immediately upon unboxing it, I noticed the wheel/rope guide was broken and the rope was displaced and stuck. Umbrella wouldn’t open smoothly and would get stuck. SEE PIC #1.Amazon promptly took my return and shipped another which arrived today, 7/26. First thing I checked was the wheel/rope and this one was also defective. Part of the wheel guide is missing a side which will cause the rope to slip out. I immediately returned this one as well for a full refund. SEE PICS # 2 & 3.Moving on to a higher quality umbrella as the material is also a very thin polyester.

As described. This umbrella is working perfectly for us. It cranks up easily, tilts, has a strong pole and heavy duty fabric. We ordered it in green. It did not come with a base. We keep it collapsed unless we are using it. The tiedown strap is attched to the umbrella skirt. Velcro secures it. Nice product.

This umbrella is really big, makes a great shade. The lights work great and really set this umbrella apart from others. The color is excellent - just what we wanted in a turquoise umbrella. Very happy with the purchase

Bought this for an upcoming outside party and it arrived as promised. I was excited that I had it just in time for the event.Upon opening the box my excitement became deflated, the umbrella I received was defective. The ribs that extend the fabric were not attached to the lifting mechanism and no way to use it for my needs. I was counting on this for shade but instead we baked in the sun!For now I’m rating it one star and will update once I see how the replacement is handled with the seller.

Nice umbrella with crank- just as pictured. Packaged well- arrived in good condition. Let’s hope crank and umbrella last- which is why I gave it a 4- no long term experience.
