Theology for Today, 2001 Revision 1st Edition

This is a great resource and reference. I would highly recommend. This is actually my second copy. I lent my first one to a friend and never got it back but I was more than willing to get a replacement. I like the appendix in the back where it gives you page numbers for the scriptures that are referenced. Very useful when going through a passage.

This is for a class through Liberty University that is currently postponed but will be taken at a future time.

This book has helped me so much since the purchase. I used it for one class and thought about getting rid of it, so glad I reconsidered. I have used this book in almost every paper I have written since then....Only down side really is the size (no electronic edition) and the fact that the glue holding the spine together is weak. Over all this is a book I will never get rid of..

To begin, the price of this book is not nearly as expensive as reviewers of the past have experienced, which is a plus. I bought a Like New copy for around $15.00 and it is perfect. Secondly, it is a basic introduction to theology for anyone wanting to study the subject without going into extensive details. Comes across as collection of gathered information [the author does say in the Intro this book is a product of decades of teaching material gathered and condensed into present volume] from other authors of mainstream dispensational theology and comes across at times like a notebook of collected facts. I would have liked an Index of subjects at the end of the book for easy reference.

While Dr. Towns and I may not agree on every point this is my go to book for systematic theology. Of all the systematic theologies I have Theology for Today is the most through and yet accessible treatment. Thank you Dr. Towns

No matter what you do, this book is a must have for your library. Whenever I think of theology books, Theology for Today by Elmer Towns makes the top of my list as the best book on theology to date.Add this to your library. You will not be disappointed.

The book is in very good condition, I like it.

It isn't quite as exhaustive as I'd like and is a bit narrow minded on some theological viewpoints not always giving both sides of the argument a fair say but overall I have learned a lot of simple foundational theology from this book, though it is a bit wordy.
