You will have to lay them out in the sun or bright little room. They work good for me and my kids. **Q: Would these blow away in strong winds** A: I have the green glow in the dark set and I haven't personally had them blow away but if the wind got up strong enough I believe they will **Q: Can this plate be rolled up and fit into a bat bag?** A: Each base and the plate are the same thickness and material. Only shapes vary. The plate and bases can be definitely be rolled up though may need to be rw-flattened ( put weight on it) once unrolled SO short answer is YES **Q: What is the thickness of the plate?** A: The plate and the other bases are all the same thickness. They are on the thin side BIT are price according.
