Trendglas Jena Glass Kettle, 1.2 litres

I just love this kettle. You know that feeling when you've eaten something healthy - well that's the feeling my family gets with this kettle. Every drink from it tastes great. So easy to clean - I just pop a lemon inside with a drop of water and leave overnight, now and again, to stop any scale from building up, I live in the South of the UK so scale is a problem. Looks great too! Takes a little longer than an ordinary kettle to boil but you get used to that. If ever I need to replace it in the future I'm sure I would buy the same again.

Mine was purchased as a novelty rather than a full on everyday kettle, I use it to make flowering tea and then keep the pot warming on the hob. It is well made and looks nice in the kitchen. Very pleased.It does have writing on the side though, it doesn't bother me, but does detract slightly from its aesthetic beauty.. (the writing is about 15pt warning "do not hear when empty " and so on,) relating to usage and care)

I had a borosil one I got from India but it was too delicate.This one is sturdy, easy to clean due to the wide-ish spout. The wide flat base allows it to sit firmly on a gas hod.Even with kids around and handle it once in a while as kids tend to do, it has lasted and given me a lot many boiled Indian teas on weekends.

This kettle is perfect for good tea making, green and black. It has a wide base so heats quite quickly and is easy to clean. I always remove the lid after heating, it dries the condensation and the kettle looks like new. One must hold the lid whilst pouring, pours well.

It's brilliant! At last, toxin-free boiled water without the petrochemicals that leach out of heated plastic bits in normal kettles. It heats up quickly directly on my gas hob and I haven't had any issues with it at all.***REVIEW UPDATE***Last week when this kettle boiled it made a loud bang, blew the glass lid off the kettle and on to the kitchen floor where it smashed to smithereens.I'd heard it bang before but didn't think about it blowing the lid off.Sadly, I have to say that it's not fit for purpose and is actually dangerous.

Great product, beautiful to look at and so simple and functional. This kettle should be in every house. Just put on your hob and turn the gas on.
