This clock features a high quality german quartz movement and an easy-to-read wooden dial. On each hour the cuckoo emerges from a swinging door above the clock dial and sounds the appropriate number of times (Example: At one o'clock the bird will cuckoo once. At eight o'clock the bird will cuckoo eight times). After the Cuckoo is finished one of 12 different melodies is played: Happy Wanderer, Edelweiss, Dr. Zhivago, Swan Lake, He Was Beautiful (theme song of the movie “Deer Hunter“), Lorelei, Home Sweet Home, Sound of Silence, Clementine, The Entertainer (theme song of the movie “Sting“), Love Theme of the Movie (“The Godfather“), For Elise. The clock has a light sensor for night shut-off and a switch for music on or off. The clock operates with 3 'C' batteries (not included). This is a original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock made in Germany.
