Fine Hojicha twig tea made from high-quality Gyokuro
The name Karigane means this fine twig tea is made from Gyokuro, which is a very special tea in itself. Some of Japan’s highest quality tea comes from Uji. This is another clue that the product is an excellent Hojicha. The generously sized 250-gram bag is priced lower than comparable products from other sources, rounding out the trifecta of clues.I recently rediscovered my love of roasted green tea or Hojicha after buying a different, cheaper brand. This one takes Hojicha to a higher level by having all the special flavor characteristics of Hojicha but being a high quality tea too. I’ve had other Hojichas that are even more fine than this but this, for me, qualifies as a high quality, a tea makes each cup a special event. Check out the photo.
