But: They are CHEAP,CHEAP pieces of crap!!!!!!!!! **Q: Counrty of manufacturing** A: No where can I find the manufacturer. The name of the company, Kaufhof, sounds almost German. I really do not know though. Sorry. **Q: What size shank will the largest handle accept? My 1/4 18 NPT tap has a 3/8 inch square shank.** A: The largest handle only takes a 1/4-inch square shank, maximum. It will not take a 3/8-inch square shank. **Q: Is this product easy to use?** A: Pretty straight forward. They rust easy and there is limited adjustments. It's good for a one time use hobby. If only they had the knurl in the right places, it could've been awesome. I dropped one star because of this. I had to use pliers to tighten it enough to hold the small 1.6mm tap. I am using an industrial grade tap that has a big enough square on the end, but I still had to use pliers to tighten it enough to hold it without it coming loose while tapping. I can't help but to believe that even with the knurl in the right place, I still would have had to use pliers to tighten it. I am 68 years old, so I doubt I would have had the the strength to do this without pliers. The other 2 I can't say, because I only bought this because of the price. I had only planned on using the smallest one. It is such a shame. This is a really nice set. The looks and feel would tell you, "Man this a a very nice set for $13.00." But then, alas, it isn't as nice as I thought. I am really curious as to "Why" it just doesn't tighten so well?
