My everyday purse was looking faded and dingy, so I bought this to spruce it up a bit. I bought "tan," which I wouldn't call tan. It's a pretty aggressive sort of burnt umber color. It says to test on a small spot, which I did, but then the can was open so I didn't think I could return it. Anyway, I decided to roll with it, and I think I'll be able to get used to the new color, even though it's not really how the purse used to look.The color did darken slightly as it dried, as promised, from an alarming orange color to what you see in the picture. I did two thin coats (three on the worst part, the front flap), with the included sponge and some cotton swabs to get in the cracks. This product will definitely color any fabric, such as stitching or cloth parts of the item, so be forewarned. It is washable when wet. It's rather odd, sort of like a thin paint, but it dried flat to the surface so you can still see the grain of the leather, like a dye. It dries quickly. I did not treat the leather with any conditioner before or after. I did rub it hard with a cloth to see if there is any color transfer, because I don't want my clothes to pick up any color from the purse, and none of the color came off.I do think the purse turned out well, and I have another that I might refinish, but it's sea green. I'd have to completely change the color of that one.Edit: it's been 2 ½ years! I didn't use the purse a ton during this time because of pandemic, but it's still my everyday purse. The front has some dings where the color is coming off, so I think it's about time for a reapplication, but I'm very impressed at how well it held up. Also, I totally got used to the new color, it wasn't a problem.

So I have yet to actually use this product BECAUSE the instructions included with the product when I received it stated that 2 other items were required to use with the leather restorer so that it wouldn't rub off. No where in the online description did it mention that other products required to use with the color restorer. If it had I may not have purchased it in the first place.

Bought a used car for my dad with some slightly tired black leather seats. Saw this product and it was cheap so just for fun I thought, let's get some brown for the old leather couches our dogs and kids have trashed over the years. Unreal! Went on easy and dried quickly. Can't speak for how durable it will be but for now I'm sold!

Do not use this product, ruined my Italian leather furniture. It is white paint and does not restore leather rather than paint it white and can only be removed with alcohol or paint remover which ruins your leather - AVOID!!!

Maybe the darker colors work fine, but my goodness, don't buy the cream. Look at the negative reviews for this product. I believe everyone is for the cream. It is basically like thin white paint. Followed the instructions, mixed it well, and immediately panicked and try to wash it off my nice leather furniture. Fortunately I got it before it dried. Horrible! Definitely going back.

A lot of elbow grease, but still bad. Evidently not for my problem.

I grabbed it as soon as it was delivered and got to work. My couch seats was heavily scratched, nothing else covered them. This covered fast, dried quickly. I have sealer that is supposed to arrive Thursday so until that arrives I can't say if I would trust it alone to stay put. It is a paint (not at all like a shoe polish as others have stated) it cleans up with water. So I don't recommend not sealing it. But it looks better regardless, was easy to apply.

This product worked extremely well on bringing an old white IKEA 3 seater sofa back to life. Amazing results. I cleaned the sofa first with a good leather cleaner and left to dry for an hour. Then applied the colour restorer. It took the whole tub for one coat, about 30mins work using the applicator to apply over whole surface. Once dried used a dry cloth to buff and finish. Very pleased with the finished result.

Bought this for a tan leather sofa, went in orange dried orange, good job it was a small test patch in the back of sofa , so wasted my money really

My son bought a car with leather seats which were quite cracked and the drivers bolster warn. Just a few minutes of rubbing into the seats totally transformed the look. The seats now look fantastic.
