It bends, so be careful when handling. Mine came slightly warped, no big deal though, you can bend it back.The screws are phillips, but it looks like the head was dipped in white paint in order to match the grille. Unfortunately this process has lead the heads to clog up with paint, not leaving enough room for the drill bit to fit snugly.

Thought it was going to be a chore replacing an old, painted 1980s return cover, but this seller and amazon made it very easy. Happy I didn't have to spend hours/days looking for this particular size. I was little worried about make new screw holes for the opening since ours has only has the two on the sides. After all said and done, I appreciate the added support.

The old one we removed was installed with 2 side screws, the new one had 6 screws 3 on top 3 on the bottom. So we needed to create all new wholes.

Before I bought this I read the reviews and listened to them on paying attention to the outer dimensions!!! This works perfectly for the one that I replaced. Looks so much cleaner than the one that had been painted over.

Awesome. This is a hard to find size at home improvement stores, at least for me. This seems well constructed and not flimsy. Plus I like that it has six screw holes instead of 4.Put some white caulking around the edge for the most professional appearance.

Great fitment, and with six screws instead of the two that I had before, it feels much more secure. Easy and reasonably priced upgrade that really adds extra detail to the house.

my house is a 1988, local big box did not have the right size.but, amazon did!comes with hardware, good fit and finish, if i had other neighbors that needed then I would have them all get 1!
