A blast and a workout.
Love this board. I am a big guy at 6 foot and 245lbs. Learning curve was probably 5 minutes for me, less for smaller people to cruise around standing. I will occasionally lose balance on a wake, but, I'm sure that's more a function of me being new than the board. Most people are surprised it is inflatable when they just see it inflated. extremely rigid. I don't know what its made of, but often wonder if its the same stuff they make aprons on hovercraft from. The accessory kit was good, nice bag, pump does a good job, though I will likely get an electric designed for it when I can. Just hate being worn out before I get in the water:). There is a patch kit I hope to never use. I would have preferred the oar floated, but, easily manageable with a tether I would have bought regardless. I had one minor issue, but Nick was quite responsive and took care of me. My daughter and wife are much smaller at 5.2 and 115lbs, and they have a little challenge changing direction at times, but, prefer that over being on something less stable.

Love this board It's lighter than my AG and that's a plus for me as I'm 5'3. Have been camping on a lake the last 2weeks and have used the board everyday and no problems at all. Only thing is the fin is longer than I like but other than that it's a great board.

So far so good...
Tried it twice and it has been very sturdy and met all expectations. It even held myself and my daughter standing at the same time.

First class customer service and top of the line product!
First, I did not get a discount for writing this review. I took a chance and ordered 2 of these boards (for my wife and I) despite the lack of reviews. We finally got a chance to use our Wakooda SUPs in North Idaho on a recent vacation. Although we had limited time due to the weather we could not be happier with these boards! I am guilty of rarely finding time to review products and services but I had to in this case. First class customer service, great packing and prompt shipping, and a quality product at a great price! They are stable and built solid! From the boards and pack to paddles and pump, it is all great stuff! Heavy duty! Since the purchase I have looked at many boards in sporting goods stores and these are as good or better. We made a great choice. Thank you so much!!! Now we just need another vacation...

Great package. Apparently they cannot keep these in stock
Great package. Apparently they cannot keep these in stock. best value for your $s. very capable high performance SUP. Well designed. I am 6'8" - 330ish lbs, this thing can handle me and still performs well. the boat is large but very quick on the water. I have been rafting and kayaking for years, the quality of the pump and seems is great. very light, but very sturdy. The company is even better! Wakooda is very informational, they stand behind their products, very responsive to questions. I would buy from them again. They are in it for the long haul and it shows by how they responded and exceeded expectations to my questions.

... stable for me and appears well made with a good paddle. Can't wait to get a Kayak seat ...
Got a cheaper board that advertised it would handle my weight (260 I'm afraid) but not even close - returned it and this board is very stable for me and appears well made with a good paddle. Can't wait to get a Kayak seat for it for long tours up the Rainbow river et al

Buy this board.
We are beginners at SUP, and we had not seen the Wakooda GT150, so we took a chance and ordered one along with one of the well-reviewed red/white inflatable SUPs. The GT150 is a terrific deal for the money, and a solid touring board ideal for intermediate paddlers.Included is the board, paddle, backpack, pump and hose. There is a separate bag for the pump, also. In the box were also outdated instructions for older boards, but I bought the GT150 when it just came out, so hopefully this is updated. Significantly, it does not come with an ankle leash, although I can't say it's necessary for its flatwater mission. The board itself is kayak-shaped. The bow is pointed, but also rockered. While it's a compromise, it's noticeably faster than their standard red/white board, to the point that my wife kept insisting on taking it out despite the fact it is 8 lbs heavier than the red/white board. She loved that it took less effort to keep going. The construction seems sound, although the material seems to be thicker and sturdier than the red/white board. This seems natural given the working inflation pressure is up to 15 psi (max 20 psi), about 4-5 psi more than most inflatable boards. It also feels far more rigid and substantial for the same reasons. The board functions very well on flat water. It is narrower than other boards at 30", so it is less stable laterally, but certainly no problem for beginners like us. Fore/aft stability is obviously good with its length. I found standing fowards significantly reduced drag by holding the pointed bow in the water, while standing aft significantly improves stability in chop by lifting the nose up. The transition between the two was smooth and predictable. Directional stability was excellent. The first stroke when stopped only turns the board a little. With normal technique, I can spend 5-10 strokes on one side before I need to switch sides. With bow draw strokes, I can stay on one side indefinitely.Design-wise, the surface is soft EVA foam, which seems standard for inflatable boards. There are a total of 12 D-rings, 4 of which are used for shock cord to hold cargo up front. The bow and tail rings can be used for towing. The remaining seem designed for seats, although this seems a little silly since you would then need a different paddle. They might be more useful for more bungee or shock cord to tie down more cargo. The fin is a new style fin that inserts into a fin box, and can be mounted fore or aft by about 4 inches, which presumably will affect the stability of the board. I can't notice a difference. I also criticize the decision to use a finger screw a nut to hold the fin in place. It's secure when in, but neither the nut or screw or attached to he board or fin, and are asking to be dropped and lost. The valve is a military style valve which seems common among inflatables these days. What is annoying is that although it fits the same valve as other military valves, this has a different depth than the red/white board's valve, so you need a different thickness spacer on the valve. No insurmountable, but annoying that there is not a standard sized valve. also, the hose from the pump does not have a handle to help you twist it, so you have to twist it by the hose. This seems like a recipe for a cracked hose (I've kinked it a couple times already). The 2-piece Bravo paddle is good. It is aluminum and plastic, so certainly not the lightest. However, it does its job well, and is adjustable in height by a friction twist-lock near the handle. It breaks down into 2 sections for travel, and, importantly, both sections fit in the bag without problems. My only complaint is the twist-lock does fine keeping the handle from telescoping, but only barely strong enough to keep it from twisting. Doing any draw strokes where you twist the paddle in the water often times made the handle twist unless the twist-lock was tightened as much as humanly possible. The Bravo pump that comes with is fantastic. It is not a 2-stage pump, but it has a 2-stroke mode, where air is pumped out both when moving up or down. This allowed the barrel to be made smaller, which makes high-pressure pumping easier. The strategy is to use 2-stroke mode to inflate the board until it's filled and about 3 psi. This takes little effort and about 3 minutes of light, rapid pumping. Then you switch to 1-stroke mode by removing the red plug. Now, the pump only inflates on the downstroke, allowing you to use your bodyweight to fight the pressure. This takes about 3 more minutes of moderate, slower pumping. I found this would get me to about 12 psi, which is fine for me, without having to put any major effort into pumping. Conversely, with the large barrel pumps on other boards I've tried, to get up to 10 psi required near superhuman effort for someone my weight, with me literally jumping onto the pump on each stroke. You can put the hose on the intake end to remove air from the board, but I haven't found this necessary. Filling the GT150 with this pump is so easy, I'm not sure I want the bother of getting an electric pump, I can't imagine it will be any faster, and not much easier.Inflating the board is straightforward. Deflating the board is tricky, as is most boards, but not problematic except for the tail section. I found that once you reach the tail, rolling it in the reverse direction from the rest of the board makes it a little more compact. The valve then faces the outside, and you can open it to let air out as you do this. Conveniently, it comes with a nylon strap that you can use to secure it when rolled. The backback is excellent. It snugly fits everything except the pump, but there is some shockcord on the back that is perfect for holding that. There is a sturdy waist strap, which helps put more of the weight on your hips than on your shoulders. When worn, it's actually more comfortable to carry than the lighter red/white board, whose bag does not have a waist strap. The only nitpick is that the waist strap is not padded (the shoulder straps are). The velcro closure up to seems less likely to break than a zipper. We've taken it out 5-6 times now, and love this board. We got to the point we wanted to trade in the red/white board for a GT126, which is a few pounds lighter than the GT150. I called Wakooda and they were absolutely fantastic. They wanted our feedback, and bent over backwards to help us swap boards, sending us return materials at their expense. I got the sense that Nick and everyone there were dying for us to be satisfied with our purchase. All my criticisms are minor. This is a fantastic board for beginner and intermediate paddlers. It probably good for advanced paddlers. It comes with a good paddle, a fantastic pump and an excellent backpack. It comes from a company with fantastic customer service. I took a bit of a gamble buying a board I've never tried before, but I am very glad I did.
