I got this book for my 7 year old who is starting to try to fix her doll's hair.It's great instruction for both of us, and has good pictures to get ideas.The book does come with the shown hairbrush, hair ties and water bottle.The price is well worth it, as you could pay that much just for the brush and ties in the store.Great quality, well-written book for the age group (says 8-10 more like 7-9 I think)and comes with FREE DVD.My daughter is soooo excited!! She loves AG and this gives her something to read, toys to play with, new thing to learn, and hopefully hours of variety play with her doll.FABULOUS!!

A must have for any american girl doll owner! Our little girl loves the book as it provides step by step instructions for several hair styles. She hasn't used the DVD yet, so we can't comment on it, but the book and tools are all very well made and provide hours of fun for our 9 year old.

I purchased this for my nine and six year old for Christmas to use on their new dolls.The brush is great as it is the same one you would receive from AG if you ordered one, you get a water bottle for spritzing your dolls hair and you get some hair bands. The problem is the hair bands are too big. It specifically says that braces rubber bands work great for securing dolls hair so why send these gigantic ones or why not send both? But the girls love the book of ideas and the extra brush.Great addition to have with an AG doll.

Comes with brush, pick, water bottle, book and DVD. The DVD is great and easy to follow. My daughter loved it and we're going to play it at her birthday party when all the girls will follow along and give their dolls a new 'do!

The hair styles in this book are perfect for trying out on a doll or a styling head. My 5 year old granddaughteer sits with her mom and they try the style together on her styling head. She loves it. It also comes with a hair brush and a mini spray bottle which is perfect for using on a doll.

This turned out to not be good value for money for us - partly because we already had a doll hairbrush. It was really just some elastics, clips and ideas for hairstyles.

I purchased this book as a gift for my granddaughter's 10th birthday. It was something she had said she would like to have, and was delighted to receive it. The thank-you note she wrote told me she uses the book almost every day, and I have seen her "do" her own hair so she and her American Girl doll can be look-alikes! It was a real winner!

My daughter loved the book and little accessories. She learned very quickly how to do dolls and hers hair. Were a little bit disappointed in the DVD. It had all the information from the booklet, but we were hoping for something extra (more instructional). But still would recommend it for your girl. YOU might have ti invest in more hair accessories.

My daughter loves it. It is not just for American Girl Dolls, since we don't have one. She has used the brush and hair do instructions on another 18 inch doll, a hairstyling doll head and even on herself.

Ich habe über Marketplace ein lädiertes Exemplar für wenig Geld erworben. Hätte ich den Originalpreis gezahlt, hätte das Set nicht mehr als zwei Sterne bekommen. Das Buch und die DVD sind lieb und gerade für junge Haarkünstlerinnen gut geeignet. Allerdings findet sich da nichts, was man nicht auch kostenlos im Netz finden würde. Das Wassersprayfläschchen - wer's braucht, da findet sich auch im Haushalt was. Die Bürste ist lächerlich klein und die Metallstifte haben vorne kleine Noppen, was für Puppenhaar nicht gut geeignet ist. Es besteht die Gefahr, dass sich die Noppen in der Perückenbasis verfangen oder das eingezogene Haar glatt ausziehen. Tip: im Friseurgroßhandel bekommt man für ca. 1, 2 Euro Plastikbürsten mit Metallstiften ohne Noppen; die sind perfekt für Acrylhaar.Der "hair pick" ist komplett nutzlos.

My 7 year old daughter has a Gotz doll, not American Girl, but she is the same size and this set was a perfect Christmas present. This set has given her hours of fun and she has been able to confidently style her dolls hair. The little brush is good quality and the dvd easy to follow. Great value for the amount of hours she has spent involved in the activities.

As an adult you will look at this and wonder what you have bought - a small water spray and pictures of doll hairstyles, but to any American Girl fan, this is such great fun - allowing them to style their dolls hair.Really recommended for AG fans!
