Exactly what I was looking for. This is sturdy, relatively easy to install and the biometrics works as advertised. Once you press your approved fingerprint on the scanner, it pops open in about one second and the weapon is easily accessible. The size is good and these don't stand out to anyone casually walking through a room (an office or bedroom, for instance). I ended up purchasing two of them.

This biometric fingerprint handgun safe has proven to be a reliable item so far. It has been in use for about 2.5 months. If it continues to be reliable, it is a huge value over the “brand name” safes of the same design. It opens readily and is fairly forgiving if you do not place your finger in exactly the right place on the reader. I open it at least once each month to ensure 1) the batteries are still providing enough power and 2) to stay familiar with proper finger placement. So far, the batteries are fine. I chose to not use the mounting bracket the safe comes with, due to the location of mounting. I had to drill small holes in the side opposite the mounted side in order to get a screwdriver to the mounting screws I used. Still works as it should. At this point, with it working perfectly, I would recommend this safe over others by the “big brands” any day.

Works great, I got the biometric model and its good but its finicky about adding extra fingers, I feel like it only wants to register the first finger and the rest wont enroll. Otherwise its pretty good, just don't lose that one finger.

It is loud when you open it, even after you turn off sound. Rather you open with key or fingerprint it opens hard door drops open and loud no matter what we did. Takes away element of surprise if you had to get your gun at night.

Have wanted quick biometric access to a handgun for years. This gun safe promised what I was looking for.Installation was stout and easy. However instructions for fingerprint reading were lacking. Vendor was not helpful.OK - if it only takes one fingerprint I can probably live with that.Based on my history with the I-phone, I decided to check the functionality often.First 4 days - great. After 10 days - good. Day fifteen - it didn't work. What good is a biometric safe if I have to search for a key to open it. Might as well have a trigger lock.The search for a reliable biometric gun safe continues.

Nifty little safe to have just beside your bed incase you need quick access.

Cheap safe. The light won't turn off so it eats up batteries. I had to get used to the print pad which only works reliably if your finger is clean and positioned correctly.
