Even toddlers know racism is wrong
Excellent story and book, better colours then other editions. Easy way to teach kids about the negatives of xenophobia, segregation, colourism and racism.

A Cosmic Adventure
"The Smeds and the Smoos" invites us on a whimsical journey through space with Julia Donaldson's trademark rhymes and Axel Scheffler's vibrant illustrations. In this delightful tale, the Smeds and the Smoos, two alien species with different appearances and customs, learn that friendship knows no boundaries. As the story unfolds, we are introduced to the Smeds, who are red, and the Smoos, who are blue. Despite their differences, young Smoo and young Smed form an unlikely friendship that transcends their societal expectations. When they're separated, they embark on a cosmic adventure to reunite, defying conventions and proving that love and friendship can conquer all. This is a timeless message of acceptance, tolerance, and the power of friendship. Through the Smeds and the Smoos' journey, we are reminded that it's what's on the inside that truly matters, and that true friendship knows no boundaries. Note: Discover "The Smeds and The Smoos" on Prime Video. Initially, my 4-year-old daughter showed little interest in the book. However, after watching the short film adaptation, her enthusiasm soared. Now, she eagerly requests me to read her the book repeatedly, illustrating how the captivating story resonates with young audiences and sparks their imagination. 👽🚀
