microSD to Memory Stick Pro Duo Adapter - TRMSPDADP

I purchased this to use a Mirco SD card in a PSP, since Micro SD cards are much less expensive than memory sticks. Same product, different shape. Just need the adapter.

Bought 3 of these with a 16gb and two 8gb MicroSD for my PSP. So far they're working great with heavy use. Best of all buying both the adapter and the accompanying MicroSD card was still a quarter of the cost of the equivalent ProDuo memory sticks.

Anyone who has ever dealt with MS Pro Duo adapters knows they run from "delicate" to "flimsy cheap crap" After frustrations of a two slot adapter all but disintegrating I thought a single slot would be a better idea. It was. You still need to be careful with this sort of adapter. If it's possible to leave it inside whatever device you are using it for that's the best thing you can do. I have removed it a few times from my PSP and it's been fine but leaving it in keeps it completely secure, so why not. I have a 16GB micro so it's very rare that I have to swap it out for another card anyway.

Recently my wife got me a Sony Cybershot camera that uses a Memory Pro Duo card. While not overly expensive, I really didn't want to spend money to get a larger capacity Pro Duo card. However I had a lot of microSD cards lying around, including some 8 gb ones. I put the micro SD card in this adapter, stuck it in the camera and it worked as soon as I turned the camera on with no fuss at all. Great product, great price. This has saved me a bunch of money.

I read a few of the positive reviews and thought, why not? I read the review where the user purchased the adapter and attached his 32GB micro SD and used it in his PSP. I am doing the same thing. I have a 32GB micro sdhc card. My PSP says the card cannot be formatted. As a matter of fact, anything I put the pro duo adapter into, will not read my card. I thought the size of the micro card was causing the problem in my PSP. I tried a 512mb card in the adapter, and it's a no go as well. Beware....it appears as if it's hit or miss on these adapters. At least I'm only out about 4 bucks.

I busted my old adapter. This allows me to use Micro SD memory on my Sony Cybershot. It works as expeted. Why not 5 stars? Price. I think it could be priced lower. Otherwise, perfect. I did buy it, so it is priced what it is worth.

Not much to say. Works as advertised.

I inserted a 16gb Micro SD card ($10-$12) in this adapter into my Sony Cybershot DSC-T500, which saved me $40-$50 over a Memory Stick alone! Does exactly the same thing as a regular Memory Stick, with the added benefit I can take the Micro SD card out of the adapter, place it into a SD card adapter and transfer my pictures directly to my laptop. No more carrying a bunch of cables!
