Review: Too Futuristic - The problem with this scale is that if you don't step on it right it'll give you and "error message". What?? Before you fully step on the scale you have to press the corner of it first with your foot, it'll then go through some calibration and end of with zeroes in the display, which is your go ahead to get fully on the scale, and if you don't get still relatively fast, you'll get an error message and not your weight. I don't think something as simple as a scale should be that complicated. And what is quite annoying about this scale is it has the name, "Borg" written on it. I don't like the idea of having something electrical in my home named Borg in my home, and on top of that give you an error message when you do something simple as measuring your weight. The digits are easy to read, seems accurate, I haven't tested it, don't care, long as its within a few pounds as youre measuring against yourself all the time. It can give you averages and stuff like that but I don't care for that, I just want something to say how fat I am. No need to get complicated. Take it for what its worth. Update: 10/12/2015: This scale all of a sudden start giving the weight in metric or kilograms, I don't know which cause I can't read either one. Tried to readjust the scale back to pounds, but no luck. All this digital fancy stuff on a scale, unnecessary. I gave it to the Goodwill and advised them I couldn't get it to work. The display and programs are unique and useful. The display can be easily read. I wish that the middle of the scale didn't have a gradient to it. I was expecting the slope up to the ridge to be much less. I find it slightly uncomfortable, but certainly not a reason to return it. Also, I wish the scale on the top was flat. That way I could more easily use it to weigh packages too. I use it along with myfitnesspal to track my food intake and results. What I like best about this scale is the ability to see your weight progress from day to day. I know if I've eaten right and exercised the day before, when I weigh myself in the morning it will show the work paid off. Seeing what I weighed last time and this time along with the difference makes me feel like the work is worth it. I'll also show you a calculated bmi which I don't really pay much attention to but it seems accurate. The scale has to calibrate itself before every weigh in. The hardest part to get used to was waiting for the lines to go away. Most scales I've ever used were analog so you just stepped on and you go.
