Read it carefully before you buy it.
I was given an external Blu-ray player for Christmas but unfortunately I also needed to purchase software to be able to use it as a Blu-ray player as well as a dvd player. I bought this on the understanding that it allowed Blu-ray playback. IT DOESN'T and no refund available.

It refused to play anything! No DVD no BluRay. Nothing!
