Christmas Light extension cord incompatibility - SOLVED!
Thank goodness the Japanese don't have grounded outlets - well, at least this helped me achieve my evil mission. You see, the good ol' U.S.A. still makes Christmas lights that don't have grounded plugs although regulations require that every extension cord and adapter in the market must have grounded prongs. I didn't want to risk breaking off the grounding prong from the 3-prong plugs and I wasn't able to change the plug part either (besides, it's time consuming for someone like me who has all the hours of the day used up thanks to...life!I was going to use other Xmas lights as an extension cord (and remove a bulb so that it doesn't light). But how do you hide it? It's not as easy to tuck away as a regular extension cord.It was a bit pricey but it solved my problem. Recommended if you have the same problem too.

Bad buy!
Wrong item. Not what's pictures. Will not work for US outlets.

Poor fit for American plugs
I ordered three. I guess they will work (haven't left on my trip to Japan yet), but the input for a standard American 110 volt plug is very tight. I have to force it to get it even 3/4 of the way in. I worry about it damaging the plugs on my electrical devices if I push any further, so it leaves the plug partially exposed, a potential shock hazard.

Extremely Useful
This adapter worked perfectly in Japan. I tested it with both US polarized and 3 pronged plugs. However, I mainly used this to convert a 3 pronged power strip to Japan plug and plugged all my peripherals into the strip. With only support for Japan, the adapter is probably as small as it gets. The only thing that would make this better would be if the prongs could rotate.

Works great in Japan
Works great in Japan, I've used it on several trips there. As most info sources on the internet say the US and Japan share plugs, the real difference is that japan doesn't use polarized 2 prong plugs(2 different sized blades), and three prong outlets are rare.
