Excellent unit, though mine needed adjusting right out of the box.
This training device only narrowly avoided five stars because of a couple of minor adjustments it needed right out of the box. In its defense, there are a lot of user settable adjustments available so maybe the quick adjustment at the factory is not expected to be completely ready to use. I am not particularly concerned, only slight disappointed that it is not really ready to use out of the box. First, the trigger take-up switch on the top of the unit very slightly interferes with its slot in the "slide" and I had to manually hold it back to get the red laser to work correctly. After doing that a few times, it started working better, but I imagine that issue will recur if not more permanently addressed. Perhaps there is something I can do with it when I open it to adjust the trigger take-up and/or trigger break location. The green laser works as expected, coming on at the trigger break, but the red laser should stay on as the trigger resets, but before the trigger take-up is released. As supplied, the trigger take-up is so close to trigger break that releasing trigger pressure enough to reset the trigger also extinguishes the red take-up laser. You can be sure that I was going to open it up and experiment with the settings anyway, so this is certainly not a deal breaker. On the other hand, I did drop nearly $350 on it, including next day Prime shipping and it would have been nice if it had been ready to use. Feel is very good, especially with the magazine in place. Glock pistols are, by nature of being metal on top and polymer on the bottom, a bit top-heavy when empty. The SIRT is hahaha too well balanced empty. However, with the magazine in place, balance is very similar to a loaded G17. I am looking forward to lots and lots of dry fire practice with feedback.
