Not exactly what I call praying the Bible
This is a companion to the other Campbell book. the other book details how praying the Bible was done through out history. This book does an overview of that history in the beginning of the book. Most of the book is the prayers themselves based on the NIV Bible. I like and understand praying the Bible. The Campbell's use of Scripture caused me to give it a lower score. The Campbell's do not pray a continuous section of Scripture. Their prayers are select verses from books of the Bible. For example, one is Philippians 1:3-4, 9-11. Or Colossians 1:2-4, 9-12. What about the verse in between? Some of the prayers are continuous. A majority of the prayers do not seemed to be setup or written as prayers. It would be easier if a person took the text they were reading and turned it into a prayer themselves. This maybe a good reference if you need a specific type of prayer.

User-friendly prayer resource
This resource facilitates praying the Scriptures. Our prayer group uses one of the prayers to pray out loud together as we begin our prayer time. The passages included in the book are well chosen and laid out in a way that helps us offer them in prayer to God. There's nothing quite like offering God's Word back to Him in prayer! This book makes it easy and meaningful, and the explanatory material before each section lends understanding and insight to the practice of praying the Word.

Deepen your prayer life
This book is a great help in my prayer life. I used to take things from the bible and rewrite it by putting in a name or whatever I was praying for to make it personal. Then I prayed it every day. After a while I saw real changes. Also, you know that what you are praying IS the will of God. Now I read the passage or chapter first from the bible and then pray the prayer that goes with it. A good idea is to get a list of the verses that apply to your need or subject, e.g., promises, sin, temptation, loss, salvation, children, and go from there. You might find a list in the front of a lot of bibles. It is a great addition to my library and I highly recommend it.

A great initiator for praying scripture
This little book is full of major keys. Having studied prayer and intercession for years, this book brought clarity and practical application that opened my eyes to the Word and all the prayers available to pray. The authors break down various kinds of Biblical prayer and highlight the values of each one. I started out praying the "Theophanies" and they proved to be stepping stones into encounter with my Bridegroom King. Now as I read and study, I am more attentive to the passages to pray and am starting my own index --Praise, Repentance, Thanks, Intercession, Petition.Thank you Wesley and Stacey for this tremendous tool. Also see it as a great resource to teach others.

I have the kindle version, I'm ordering the hard ...
I have the kindle version, I'm ordering the hard copy to keep in my purse and to move quickly between verses. This book has kept me interested and given me a new outlook on prayer and what it can do for me and my family. I'm new to praying and praying the Bible, so this books has really been a blessing, a book I'm sure I will use daily.

I love this book
I have always considered myself to be an intercessor but found myself praying the same prayers but not feeling like I have really moved anything in the spirit realm. I started to research prayers all line to have a more active prayer life. I happen to be online and found this book on Amazon. And decided to order it. This book has completely changed my prayer life, so much so that I ordered one for my daughter as well. It's amazing how much my life is changed and it's all based according to Scripture. I would recommend this prayer manual for all of those who are serious about intercession.

I love the concept
I love the concept, but I'm having trouble really grasping it. I think it would be easier if this was an audio instruction. I do insert my name into Scripture and meditate on it. I do recommend the book, but I might also suggest one purchase the book from John Paul Jackson titled The Art of Praying the Scriptures; a fresh look at Lectio Divina. Both books I recommend.

Transformed my prayer life
An excellent and inspiring book that has transformed my prayer life. The only thing that is slightly irritating are small additions of text within the scripture - they don't change the sense but seem unnecessary. Apart from that, highly recommended
