Works great, lasts longer than the OEM Ni-cad versions. Charges fine in the OEM Ni-cad charger, powers all my tools just fine and definitely lasts longer due to the higher capacity. It does take longer to charge to full due to the higher capacity but I expected this and am in no way surprised. The chargers do get a bit warm but again, not a concern as the chargers are working to flow more power into the higher capacity battery. Others raised concerns about LI-ion fires during charging so for this reason I have my chargers on a power strip with a switch and only charge the batteries when I am present in my garage, once the charging cycle is complete, I remove the batteries from the charger. I've been using these for a couple of months and I have no safety concerns. My only issue is that the battery circuits do not like my flashlights with the incandescent lamps, the battery's internal circuitry must see them as a short and disconnects power. Works with my drills, saws, grinders, and everything else except the flashlights. I plan to switch to LED lamps to see if that makes a difference, until then, I have my OEM Ni-cad batteries for the flashlights. I plan to buy a couple more of these in the future, they have given my tools a new lease on life.

Update: After 9 months of use I am a happy customer. The batteries have not had hard use since I wrote the original review, but have been pleased with how long they keep their charge: Just as good as the original Dewalt batteries. As I said in my original review, I had no real issue with fit.I read mixed reviews of this product relative to being too snug to fit Dewalt tools, battery charging issues, etc. However, so far I am very satisfied. The batteries charged up with no issues and the life, after two full cycles, is good. I like the lighter weight compared to the stock 18v and the charging indicators. Note: My older Dewalt charger was NiCad only, so I had to purchase one that was compatible with Lithium-Ion also. Not a huge deal in that this battery set will avoid me having to replace 4 18v Dewalt tools. As regards fit, this was not a problem: A little snug in the charger and tool but no issues with operation.If longevity proves to be an issue I will post a follow-up. For now, it will be a '3' while I hope for the best.UPDATE after almost 3 years I still love these batteries! I am a DIY’r and use my Dewalt drills a couple times a week, with some big multi-hour projects thrown into the mix. Despite a few times forgetting to pull them off the charger (twice after overnight!) these batteries continue to last a long time between charges. IMO they are better than the originals. A great value.

DO NOT BUY. I am a construction worker in North Carolina and not a bot or anyone being paid to do this. The batteries took nearly a day to charge the first time. I wish I had returned them then. That time only increases exponentially, or worse, as I continue to try to use these. The second time, I'm now on day 2 trying to charge them. I wonder how much electricity is being used? The original Dewalt charger is blinking fast which means "replace battery". The charger is perfectly OK as it still charges my original Dewalt batteries, tho they don't last long anymore. Which is why I got these. Of course it's just past 1 month so no returning these I suppose. I did finally get them to charge after running them down one time. Perhaps if you don't run them all the way out they will charge better? But they showed no signs of slowing down until they just stopped suddenly so I don't know how you're going to know without just guessing.I am now adding to the review. I am attempting to charge the batteries for the third time now and they are apparently done. Unable to charge Beyond one bar with three days on the charger. Absolute trash.

... but my first impression is we have a winner. The verdict is not in yet on longevity... but I aim to find out.I want to address the the issue of chargers for these batteries. Some are saying the DW9116 charger won't work. The seller says otherwise and it is the charger I have. It worked well.Once I received these batteries I topped them off with my DW9116 charger and headed out to my fence project. I loaded one in the skill saw and made 16 cuts. Swapped the battery into my drill and finished installing the last panel of my fence and swapped the battery into sawzall. I proceeded to cut six 4 by 4 post to length and the battery was still going. So I put it my drill again and installed my gate hinges/latch and finished up installing construction screw into the gate... the battery is still going.I think these batteries work well and for the price... you just can't go wrong.

I have been using these batteries now for about 8 months on and off. The batteries are much lighter than the original CAD Batteries so counter balance is off with some tools, but you adjust to the weight difference quickly. At least I did any way. The charge indicator lights are a nice added plus for sure. The batteries have worked great using the original Dewalt 18 Volt charger. The batteries last a good long while. I can usually complete most jobs with ease on a single charge while really applying a heavy load to my cordless Dewalt tools. Examples would be my drill and either saw. Circular or reciprocating. With that said I did recently have a battery failure while charging. I contacted the seller via email after 8 months of battery use and to my surprise the seller responded the next day and sent a new replacement battery delivered to my home at no extra cost in 3 days and no return of the faulty battery was required. Hopefully the failure was a fluke. ((Amazing)) that it was that easy to warranty a failed battery after 8 months of steady on and off use and that is why I still gave this battery a 5 star review. Thanks for the replacement!! Back to work I go!

Still haven't used these a lot yet, but am impressed with the batteries power in my dewalt tools . Until you have been true a use cycle followed by a charge cycle only 2 of the 3 level charge indicator will light up. After that full use and charge you should find it light all 3 levels of charge indicator. This seller is very reliable and respects the warranty on this product. I seemed to have an issue with one of the batteries, and hadn't used them very much. Even though months had past since my purchase the seller assisted me in resolving the issue to my great satisfaction.. This is a seller who I would fully trust in my future purchases. Barry.

These just arrived and I'm putting them through their paces. They replace the DW9099 NiCad batteries that came with my 12 year old Dewalt cordless drill. One of the original batteries died 3 or 4 years ago and the second one is on its last legs so to keep from adding to the land fill, I chose to get these replacement NiMH batteries. My charger is the DW9116, which is apparently compatible with the Powilling Lithium-Ion Replacement Battery. As directed in the instructions, I charged up the new batteries before use and according to the indicators on the back of the batteries they charged from 3/4 to full capacity. They did not get hot and they did not show any error codes while charging. I can't speak for the longevity of them but they did charge correctly, they've got a ton of power and they are noticeably lighter than the OEM batteries. I'm pretty happy with my purchase so far.

As other reviews said, it’s lighter in weight than the original batteries, what I need it for, they work fine. I’m not sure if they last as long as the originals. No problems charging them

My original review is below. I had to revise it since one of the batteries died completely after about 9 months. I'm a home user so this battery only did about 4 or 5 charge/discharge cycles. (That's about $10.00 per use!) The other battery still works .. sort of. During periods of heavy use, the battery keeps cutting out. (Maybe an internal thermal switch? I'm not sure.)They have a one year warranty, so I thought the vendor would replace the totally dead battery, no problem. WRONG! They told be I had waited too long. (It was only 10 months after the sale that I contacted them, well within the supposed ONE YEAR warranty.) They offered me a 20% credit. I answered that this was not acceptable. Heard nothing back since.CAN'T RECOMMEND either the product or the seller at this point.------ My original Review: ------------I've only had these for a few months, but they have given a new lease on life to my 18 volt Dewalt tools. This appears to be a less expensive and less trouble-prone solution than the 18 to 20 volt adapter available from Dewalt.I use the recommended Dewalt charger and have had no issues. One of these lithium batteries lasts longer than all four of my 18 volt Nicad Dewalt batteries put together. (My old batteries are basically scrap at this point, but one of these lithium batteries lasts longer than my Nicads ever did.)I hope that they keep working like this for a few years.

I like them. Very strong and light. Hold a good charge.
