Best clear tape on the market!
I've tried essentially ever brand of clear tape on the market over the past 25+ years of playing hockey and this stuff is the best I've used. Has a perfect stretch to it, holds up all game long, and rips easily... all that plus a great price. If I had to point out some bad things I'd say they don't have to wrap each roll individually and it has a bit of an odd smell for the first day or so, but neither of those affect the performance of the tape so it gets 5 stars.

Perfection!
I've been using hockey tape for 20 years at this point and I thought I would NEVER stop using Renfrew tape. After seeing the Owl Tape on Amazon, I figured it was worth a shot. Needless to say, it's better than Renfrew and about half the price. The tape has good hold, makes no sound, and goes on perfectly clear. I'm not one to take time to write reviews... ever... but these guys made it worth my time. Great product.

This is the best tape Ive ever used on my shin guards
This is the best tape Ive ever used on my shin guards. Ive used it for both holding my hockey shin guards in place as well as my soccer shin guards and it is the best. It is very strong and durable but at the same time easy to put on, rip, and remove when you're all done. Dont let the color fool you. It is clear. Best price and best quality. Cant beat it!

"Anybody got clear?"
This tape is great. I've been playing hockey a long time, and this tape is as good or better than any other clear tape I've used. And, as another reviewer mentioned, the tape makes no noise going when you're putting in on. Therefore you avoid alerting everyone in the locker room that you've got clear tape. Oh, the dreaded call of the unprepared - "who's got clear?"The 10-pack is a great value, too. Fully recommend.

This tape does not tear.
I would truly not recommend this tape unless you have Wolverine claws. Alternative uses for this tape could be: bungee cord, tow rope, or (if woven together properly) bulletproof vest. It does not tear. Like, it really doesn't. You have to stretch it until finally snaps, the tension of which will cause the end 3-4 inches to roll up onto itself. If you want to be the person in the locker room who brings surgical scissors in their hockey bag, then this is definitely for you. Barring that, would not recommend.

Whether it tears acceptibly depends on the application
I don't play hockey, but I do use clear hockey tape for various other things because it's stretchy so it wraps around compound curves, is usually fairly easy to tear and sticks even in cold temps. Turns out that how you use this tape really matters to whether you think it tears OK, or not at all. If you grab the tape with two hands close to each other and try to make a clean tear without stretching the tape, then this stuff is *really* hard to tear. But if you wrap it all the way around something (shin guards etc), and then just pull hard on the end, it will stretch out, get thin, and snap off. The free end can be stuck down to the tape underneath it, and it stays there just fine. Problem is, tearing it this way is not useful for most of the things I use it for, where I just want a small piece that's a few inches long, with a relatively clean ends that will stick to some other surface without peeling up. When you use the stretch to tear method, the free end really doesn't like to stick to any other surface.

Great Price and Great Quality
Typically I would pick up a few rolls of clear tape every 3-4 weeks from my local pro shop when getting my skates sharpened. But as an Amazon Prime member, I keep finding more and more stuff to buy online and next on the list was hockey tape. I was looking for a bulk order at the best price and this was it. Like a lot of people, I am sometimes skeptical of the lowest priced item. But I figured it was a low-risk investment and so much cheaper and more convenient than going to the pro shop. The tape arrived and it was great. High quality and super easy to put on and take off. The best part is that it doesn't make that awful noise other clear tape makes when taping your shin pads that immediately alerts everyone in the locker room that you have tape to borrow!

Works great, same as the old stuff
I play goal 2-3 times a week and tape my knee guards so there’s a ton of movement there, I also sweat like a Buffalo in heat, this stuff works just fine and doesn’t come off during play. It’s packaged differently than the last time I ordered it, but unlike the other reviews it works just the same for me. Wrap, pull, snap, just like clear hockey tape should. Comes off easy and leaves no residue. Not sure why you would want a clear tape that tears like cloth, but that seems to be the complaint with the negative reviews. This is a great value for clear tape, I highly recommend. If you play hockey and you use electric tape to save money try this tape, works just the same. I wish I had two extra hands so I could give it four thumbs up!
