What does a vaccum cleaner do?? Yeah you guessed it. This cell booster does install very easily. The antenna wires are thin enough to work thru doors and sun roofs easily, The cables are long enough to allow mounting just about anywhere in a common sized vehicle. I appreciate the seperate on/off switch to reset the booster, however I had no clue I would be using it as frequently as I have.The booster did amplify cell signals. There were times where the signal was boosted from -105dB to -85 dBm however the cell phone had to rest on the antenna itself at all times to receive a significant boost in signal. Moving the phone or hotspot away from the antenna by 12"/30 cm and the signal fell off to a boost of only -5 to 8 dB. Moving the phones further away than 18"/45 cm and there was no boost in signal. That was IF/WHEN the booster worked.Out of the 100% this booster was on, it spent over 80% of it's time in fault status, shutting down ( red lights ) various signals because the boost would interfere with one/both antennas. WHEN/IF any data transfers were attempted or a speed test was attemtpted ( 40 mb data used each time ), the booster would shut down one or more signal frequency nodes about 94% of the time. Using text only modes, it was necessary to type and then place the phone back in a place on the inside anteena before hitting send, especially if trying to send a photograph or a voice message. Repositioning the antennas in/on/around the vehicles did not help.I found I had better luck placing a mobile hotspot in a plastic baggie and taping the assembly to my sunroof over using this boster. I understand it only runs about a -45 dB gain for signal, but the antenna attenuation issues along with lack of reliable data transfer make this unit a fail for me. Maybe your circumstances will be different however like the title says...a expensive replacement for a vaccum cleaner that does nothing else but _ _ _ _ .

Tried it for 2 weeks using the identical 72 mile route in both directions twice a week. It acted like it was boosting signal and had lots of flashing lights but I never experienced any improvement in LTE, 3G or phone calls. I bought it because I had low signal spots on the route and wanted full coverage but in the low signal spots I still could not use or receive via Android Auto text, nor regular text nor calls even when in sight of towers. I bought the unit for the correct channel/band, followed all instructions and even monitored signals using the recommended LTE Discovery App but after two weeks with no improvement I decided to send it back. I really wanted this to work and was disappointed.

We live in an RV and while roaming the USA we often stop in campgrounds that have a weak cell phone signal. This device has taken an area that was giving us 1 - 2 bars and boosted it to 2 - 4 bars, depending on the device. You do have to be patient a bit. Once the booster is turned on, your device has to detect the stronger signal, drop the weak signal, and then connect to the stronger one. Depending on the device this could take about a minute so the effect will not be instantaneous. With older cell phones you may have to turn off the cell phone and reboot if it does not have the auto-scan feature. This has saved us because our router converts a cell phone signal into WIFI and if there is a weak cell signal our connection to the internet is limited. This is a good buy, but the instructions and manual do not explain everything. The customer service, however, was excellent.

Tried this unit in a 1 bar area.... did not appreciably increase my signal strengthWas parked in an open area, no obstructions to the sky.... did not see a $250 improvementReturned with no problem...

T mobile no registered the booster.

Works pretty good

I made sure it was the correct band for my carrier, but turning it on had no notable effect at all.
