Review: Good Product, But keep in mind... - I was concerned about all the reviews that showing the 3D builds not coming off of the magnetic bed cover and it did happen to me but it was because my nozzle got too close to the bed. The heat and thinness of the filament line caused it to basically melt into the cover and it was very hard to get off(a box cutter blade did help a lot, i just slid it between the bed and the build). But when the Z-probe offset was set correctly and my bed was level it was perfect, it had great adhesion but still came off easily. I am buying another one because i messed my first up with the nozzle too close and all. But all in all it is a fantastic upgrade to my Ender 3 v2, just know that you need to pay attention to the first layer and do the proper prep(basic bed leveling/Mesh bed leveling, set the Z-probe offset)
Review: Not stiff in the slightest - I immediately was thrown off when picking up the package. Flimsy and light, oh no! I thought I had ordered a bed with spring steel and magnetic mounting plate. This guy is incredibly flexible, and looking at the machine now, I can't see how that's a problem. There's like a centimeter of aluminum it mounts to, so it won't bend. Speaking of mounting, the adhesive on the magnetic backing was SO sticky, I had to forcibly rip the build plate from the machine so hard that I thougbt I would break something during installation. It just never gave me a chance to line it up straight before holding on for dear life. I do not think it's going anywhere. The adhesive lends itself to making bubbles you'll need to smooth out over and over before it is perfect. The magnets are very strong in the horizontal axis. I say magnets because it feels like it has been arranged in such a way that there is a predictable grid it adheres to, and you can line it up every time. The final mind blow was taking off the first print. Normally, I have a deep imprint of the prints I've made previously that I cannot remove. Not so with this, everything came off cleanly and the surface looks like it just came out of the envelope. I can definitely recommend this as a bed for repeated prints. Will update after more use of this *seemingly* wonderful bed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the paper backing need to be removed?  It covers an adhesive that would be difficult to remove?**
A: The print bed itself has no adhesive or paper backing. The paper backing is on the flexible magnet that you can use to stick to your printer's existing bed, and then place the flexible print surface on the magnet. You will need to remove the paper backing to expose the adhesive if you want to use this stick-on magnet. The adhesive would be very hard to remove. But, if you already have a steel print bed, you can just place the flexible magnetic part on it, and not use the other part. The part with the adhesive is only for printers that have plastic or aluminum beds that a magnet won't stick to.

**Q: what temperature does the bet need to be at so the print doesn't get hopelessly stuck to the flex plate?  we are using standard PLA**
A: I print most PLA at 210C... No bed heat... no problems! Sounds like you might be getting first layer too close... when that happens you will get “stuck” to most any surface... It is possible you got a bad one too... I had one, of the many I’ve purchased. It’s not common, but possible... try raising nozzle just a bit!

**Q: Is this the same stock one that comes with ender 3 pro? with the dragon head and ender text? the images show otherwise.**
A: I have the Ender 5.  The magnetic flexible bed cover on the stock version of the Ender 5 also comes with the "dragon head" logo.  This bed cover has no "dragon head" logo and is not as magnetic as the stock version and does not adhere to the build plate as well.  Dimensionally it fits as well as the stock bed cover.    Based on the weak magnetic adhesion I won't buy another of this version.

**Q: is there a max temperator ?**
A: I cannot find any max temperature specifications for this product. I have not had any problems with it so far, but some people have said that at higher temperatures, particularly with PETG, it adheres so strong to the surface that it destroys the build bed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great improvement over glass bed

The magnetic plate is a huge improvement over the stock glass plate. I used to have to put the glass plate in the freezer to get prints to pop off. Now I just take the bed off, flex it and it comes right off. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t need to be cleaned as often as my glass bed. Assembling the magnetic base on was straight forward. Just make sure the magnetic poles are lined up with the plate. It worked perfectly with my ender 3 v2 and it made the appearance look killer
