Well I am an older (way old) scooter rider and was debating on getting protection for riding. It is just a scooter right?But decided to get this JBM set with Pads . Well It was well worth it. I was waiting to cross at a crosswalk and cars started to stop to let me cross. Nice of them Well I push off on the scooter and pulled back on the handlebars and accelerated. And then waved to say thank you to the car that stopped and Bam! I went down. #1 rule with scooters is keep both hands on the Handle bars. I knew that but still did it. I was wearing the JBM Helmet, elbow pads, Knee pads and wrist protection. I can tell you they worked like a champ . My head hit he asphalt and the helmet saved my head. Just a scratch on the helmet. And I was wearing shorts and those JBM elbow, knee and wrist pads worked perfectly. All the scuffs were on the Pads and not my skin. I highly recommend using protection for scooter riding and JBM is a great choice for protection. Thank you JBM!

very nice starter kit but already showing signs of wear but for beginner nice construction

I've gotten this in two sizes, medium and large. Medium for a 9 year old with a big noggin fits well, but the arms and legs are a little more loose than I would like. Large for an 11 year old with an equally large noggin, fits perfectly. Another large set for myself, a semi-overweight 30 year old mom. Everything fits somewhat well, but the knee pads are pretty tight. I am guessing the more I lose weight, they'll fit better, so this isn't an issue right now.
