Yes the handle is poorly engineered, only held in place by a single screw into a plastic base; yet I have had not trouble with it shearing off or breaking. I guess I am not gorilla torquing it. I am surprised with the low quality of materials and unsophisticated engineering expressed in a high-end tool make like Stanley! Maybe they’ll get the hint that this tool needs some tweaking.
