Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness: Prima Official Game Guide Hardcover – October 15, 2013

It's a generally well-organized, exhaustive guide to the deep, deep depths of a game which can suck up hundreds of hours of your time. ( In a fun way.) An index would have been invaluable though, because some aspects of the game are covered in several different chapters.

Disgaea guides are a hobby of mine. Disgaea 3 had the best info, and still to this day maybe the book I have read most in my life. Disgaea 4 had one of the wrost guide ever published. This guide falls close to disgaea 3.Quality paper and artwork line a significant amount of data. Charts, item lists, math... what more can you want!The items and charts are useful for quick reference, however the math is a great way to start looking into ways to maximize development of your team well after the storyline finishes.This book has good info on the story, but as it should with a game like disgaea, the walkthrough of the main story line is less than half the content of the book.This comment is for all the people who I told not to buy the disgaea 4 guide, the guide for disgaea d2 is worth the money.

Overall the quality of the book is great. For the previous games in the series I had the Double Jump guides which were spectacular, so I was a little disturbed that they were replaced by Prima. I've seen some rather dubious guides published by them in the past so this was a very pleasant surprise.Now the free DLC code is not accurate. You don't get a DLC code for buying the guide. It is a code to go to the Prima site to "register" for an account. Another hoop to jump through to get what is supposed to be with the guide. Registering a game guide book really? What this really is is another marketing ploy to get more information from you to either sell you more stuff or spam your inbox with more junk.Basically give them your information which they will spam you with offers; sell to partners, and minimally protect to not be liable for when their servers are inevitably hacked. The everyone-wants-to-create-a-website-login-account movement is already a bad idea with sites being compromised everyday. Do you really want to create another account on another vulnerable site to have an email and an address harvested from? Don't buy this for the DLC. It isn't exclusive. Raspberyl comes with a content pack that will cost 2-3 dollars later and has two other characters to boot.Buy the book because its a good quality book. The marketing schisse needs to get dropped. It adds no value. 5 star book, 1 star shameless advertising plug, averages to 3 star rating.

Was just what I wanted.

The corners of the book were bent a little when I got it, but I was really happy with the overall quality and especially the print (I even got the one I wanted)!I got it mainly for collector's value, but the content is definitely worthwhile, too.Plus, activating the online guide has been very useful, comes along with a very useful printable .pdf list for tracking your in-game collections, and excited to use the Raspberryl DLC!(I even cut apart the sticker on the packaging so I can put just Raspberryl on something. :D)

I like the disgaea series so much that i got the guide for D2. Like the art work , the extra things that i didn't know about like the hidden stuff. Its very helpfull , in that if your new to disgaea or to the mount system then you should get this guide. It also explains how you unlock lvl 12 cap for the shop. I would recommend this guide.

I was a little reluctant when I found out that the guide for D2 wasn't done by DoubleJump (those guys were the best). But this is a really nice guide. It looks great on my shelf, it's well made, and it has tons of good info in it. It's everything a Disgaea fan should want out of a guide. No complaints. Good purchase.

All of their guides are amazing with great artwork. Love the hardcover too, I have all the Disgaea series books.Truth be told, I do like the ones that were smaller size, but the last game to have one of those was Persona 4

Gives you all you need for creating the maximum mayhem in the world of Disgaea ! A good guide to the classes, stats and items in the game as well as how to progress through the various chapters of the story.A very solid book too - should stand up to a lot more abuse than some of the cheaper game guides out there.Only downside is that the DLC offered is purely for the North American version of the game and apparently that isn't compatible with the EU game. Otherwise would have been a 5 star rating.

I can't really add more, others have quite well covered every aspect of this book. An awesome guide that gives you information about episodes, classes, equipment and more. I'd recommend this to anyone playing DD2, it's super helpfull.

a great game guide for very complicated rpg. it covers the main game in great detail, including all the time person and place reaction stuff.
