Read Before Purchase
I have been using dashcams for years now and this is one of many I own. This could be a really nice product if not for the problems and lack of customer support. I like the fact that the mirror can display speed and compass direction while you are driving, the problem is that of the two units I tried, the compass was never correct and the speed is in KPH only - no MPH. I contacted Tinfsmart customer support and all they said was that it sounds like my unit is defective. No kidding! How about helping me out? Tinfsmart does not have a website, nor do they have a telephone number or even an email address, you have to contact them through Amazon which means you'll spend a lot of time (days) going back and forth with them. The camera is supposed to record at 1296P but it does not no matter which quality setting you select. Also, the camera records at 25 frames per second instead of the usual 30 FPS, and that's in bright sunlight or at night. A slower frame rate will result in a less-clear video. The camera lens is adjustable, but just barely. Since you need to have the mirror at an angle to see out the back window, you have to adjust the camera lens so that it points forward, but it will not adjust to the left far enough to aim the camera to the center of the road. Additionally, if you are short and have to aim the mirror down to see out the rear window, the camera will be pointing mostly up at the sky. The mirror is rather heavy so when you hit a large bump or pothole it drags your factory mirror down. Go down a rough road and you'll have the mirror pointing down after a few miles so get ready to do a lot of readjusting as you drive. There is also a lot of vibration because of the weight so the image out of the mirror is really shaky. The image quality out of the back camera is surprisingly good, but the front camera is not very good even through a spotless windshield. My unit also has a de-centered front lens, so the left side of the recording is not as clear as the rest of the video. No software is supplied with the unit and they don't provide a link to download any, so you'll have to do a Google search and hope you can find a copy that is virus-free. Truthfully, I would look at some of the other options available on Amazon and pass on the Tinfsmart.

Best investment in a long time!
I hooked this up in my 08'RAM 1500, really easy to do. My excitement came 4 weeks after I installed it. Got pulled over for rolling a stop sign, he claims he seen me run the stop..Until I pulled down the camera and showed him the video of me stopping 3 times just inches behind the limit line, and then him pulling me over along with the vehicle that created the blind spot for him..This camera has paid for itself already and it's still new and I'm testing still... Definitely buy again!

Good
I have to say I have been very happy with the product so far. Found it quite easy to install and use, and should note that it does a great job as a rear-view mirror while driving, largely eliminating blind spots on the side with the wide-angle view. The touch screen is quite responsive, and being able to flip between forward and rear cameras is handy. Resolution seems quite good, and like being able to select which is the 1080p (forward or back) is handy. I have mounted mine in a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback inside the back window (number plate is really low, and reverse lights are in the hatch, making routing the red wire a no-go there). So far, the position seems quite good, and even with the double-sided tape, the mirror seems quite solid mounted on the top center panel looking out the back window. I should note this will require one to keep the window clean obviously, but also prevents any weather from getting to it, and it stays dry this way. The rear-view while driving is nice, allowing me unrestricted wide-angle view behind the vehicle, even if I have passengers or packages in the back seat that would normally obscure the view.Overall, I would recommend the product. The clarity of the image is impressive, and it is a marked improvement over the stock rear-view mirror already.

Doesn't work
Just got sideswiped and the camera didn't record it locked or in the loop, this camera is no longer saving loops since February and I didn't know until today.

Save yourself big money with this!
It is really a good dash cam. I use many dash cams, and this is prob one of my top favorites to use/buy.The display is large and clear. It fits well around the mirror and looks sleek. It pretty much covers my entire mirror, at least enough that I don’t notice the difference. it doesn’t hinder my view through my windshield.I highly recommend this product to anyone that doesn't have a dash cam. This makes sure you are protected against those idiot drivers.

Love It
Purchased this for my mother because she had a hard time backing up and switching lanes in rush hour traffic... it has helped her tremendously. Easy to set up.

Come up with universal fittings options
It doesn’t fit right on the original mirror. Wish It replace the original mirror instead of attached to it

Easy set up and I love it!
I love this backup camera. The screen is huge and the picture is clear which I love!! It also records like a dash cam which is so good to have in case of an accident. I'm so happy that my spare car now has a backup camera. And it was easy enough to install. Definitely would buy again if I got another vehicle without a backup camera.
