The sheath is a protective covering found on newly emerging bamboo plants. As the plant matures, the sheath falls to the ground and most often is unutilized. Our process collects these sheaths and then they are cleaned, boiled, and pressed into shape. The result is disposable/reusable dinnerware that is elegant, strong and 100-percent biodegradable. Bamboo Studio dinnerware may be reused depending on the care. Always hand wash and do not submerge in water. Use a minimal amount of water when washing and dry immediately. Microwave safe up to 3 minutes on medium heat.

Great for tacos
I used these to serve tacos in and they were perfect. I would recommend these to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little extra money to have something better than a paper plate to serve food on for guests.

Perfect for any get together!
Used these for a Holiday party and loved it. I had served a vegan lasagna, meatballs with sauce, and many other hot and cold items, all with great success and good conscious! This product is DURABLE and we will continue to use this awesome product for future parties, dinners, etc.

Not what I was expecting.
I ordered these bowls to use in my little shop. I was at first excited about the ways I could use these however I was really disappointed once I got them. The sides are weak and shallow and are pretty flimsy. I wouldn't place anything with liquid or anything that weighs more than a couple of ounces in them.

If I could only get the dimensions right....
Pictures don't do the sizing justice. They arrived too small for what I intended to use them for. Oh well, I guess I'll have to invest in a dimensions measurement tool to make my ordering go a little bit better. Does Amazon sell those?
