Wilfa Precision Coffee Maker

Like other reviews here, I bought this coffee-maker in October of 2019 because of the “look”. Two weeks ago I heard a loud CRACK and as you can see in the photo, the coffee-maker cracked where the water travels up the frame. Bad design. Wilfa was no help at all. I really, really, really love this coffee maker - you can find my review on Youtube - look up user benchernif - unfortunately it broke after only 2 months! I purchased on eBay for $100 Feb 28 and it broke on June 10th. It stopped pumping water. I opened up the machine and tried to clean out the in-line water filter, but I found out the clog was in the heating element. It's unfortunate. Wilfa would do nothing to fix or replace the machine - they told me to talk with the company I purchased from for warranty. The company did refund me the money even though I was outside of the return period - it sounds like Wilfa brought a product to America that they couldn't service or support. For that reason, I gotta give this only 2 stars. I'll break into the heating element eventually - I know it can be fixed - and I really, honestly love the design of this maker and how it works. It uses a constant pump system and it makes a perfect cup of company. But it's not worth buying if there is no support. I ended up purchasing a Motif Essentials coffee maker for $60 and I'm super happy with it. I prefer cone filters and the Motif uses a cone filter. Look it up - you'll be happy with it!

Bought this for my wife in Oct 2019, after experiencing wonderful coffee from this device at a friend's. I bought the black unit for about $90, and my wife has used daily since last Christmas. The plastic cracked along the main column creating a very ugly appearance, but the unit still functions. After a while, it starts leaking - so it is unusable as other reviews have indicated. The wilfa people in Norway referred be back to the reseller for warranty, but the reseller has not responded to multiple replys. Th US Wilfa distributor will not respond. So despite this cool looking great coffee making capability - do NOT buy this product unless you don't mind it cracking on you. That is based on my price of $90....it is really not worth it if you pay the $750 I see advertised in the few stores who still have stock!

I’d like to have my money back . The machine arm cracked as shown in my photos .We heard a loud “ crack “ sound while we were in the kitchen and coffee machine was on. We found it to be the coffee maker .Had this one year, normal daily use . As of today it cracked (Likely due to faulty design and heating element causing expansion and contraction daily on plastic not regulated for this use/ temperature), it will not get plugged in again to reduce risk of fire or water damage . This 1year old coffee maker by Wilfa is now going in the garbage .

Any mistakes in using the machine can cause it to break, there is no room for error. COffee was pretty good but I like many bought because I like it out on the countertop, there are plenty of other fancy coffee makers you can choose, if you're going for looks this one but don't count on it lasting. Even before it broke the arkers had rubbed off alot of the parts.

First off, the price for this has to be wrong. I purchased it months ago for $150. I chose the all black plastic one, as shown. The arm that holds the basket and has hot water piped through, will eventually split. It has happened to me and it has happened on two of them owned by my best friend. Wilfa has horrible customer service and will not entertain the idea of replacing.For it to crack, in the same place, on three different machines, suggests design flaw and inappropriate use of materials.Besides the crack, the taste of the coffee is great. The design flaw is destructive and ruins the value of the purchase.

This coffee maker is built to fail. It’s cracking, the paint is chipping and falling off into the coffee. all around a flawed design. Don’t waste your money

Fortunately, got mine at the Goodwill for less than $20, still new condition but honestly makes an ok cup of coffee, bare above my $25 Krups auto-drip coffee maker.With no warranty support-Fughetaboutit!

今回、息子に勧められて購入しました。よくわからなかったですがこれで入れて飲んでいて、故障で修理の間違うコーヒーメーカーで入れたコーヒーを飲んだら違いが良くわかりました。全然違います。違うコーヒーメーカーで入れたコーヒーは粉っぽくかんじました。比べるとよくわかります。又、修理の対応もとても良くスムーズでした。
