This works for me using anew MacBook pro and works where a hub will not ie for conencting a projector, or anyhting needing direct power.

Gorgeous looking and offering connectivity when needed.
Love my DockCase! Absolutely love my dock case, it is professional looking and unobtrusive when in a business meeting, but it can become invaluable if I quickly need to connect to a projector or plug in a standard USB stick.It has become my travel companion for the last weeks and I would not go without it, great product!
