Unlike a recent ceramic starbucks mug, this mug was not TOO hot to handle with hot liquids. It fits well in the hand and also in car drink holders. Apparently this come randomly in two models - one with screw on and one with push in. I received the screw on but would have preferred the push on. The thing that bugs me most about this mug is that there is a tiny projection on the underside of the flip up tab which seems to keep the air hole open when closed. EVery timeI drink, the tip of my nose hits that projection - ouch! I am going to cut it off before it conditions me to hate my coffee. (I guess it would be good if you want to quit drinking coffee.). The projection can be seen in one of the pictures.

Being part of a program that reviews lots of products for Amazon in exchange for free or reduced costs, I get my fair share of products that are so-so. I have to say - cold drinks actually stay cold, and I LOVE that - however, if you use milk or creamer in your coffee, it WILL sour in the lid after several hours, so if you are a coffee sipper and not a fast drinker, I wouldn't recommend the use of these mugs as it DOES keep the coffee hot for a long time, long enough to sour your milk or creamer. (I guess that is actually a good thing since it keeps the coffee hot so long, but I am a sipper, so I find these mugs are better for me in the cold use department). Still love the mugs - DO NOT WASH THE STAINLESS STEAL BASES IN THE DISHWASHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO DESTROY THEM AND HAVE THEM RETAIN WATER!!!!!!!!!! Lids are perfectly fine to be washed in the dishwasher, but you must wash the bases by hand.I am always in search of the perfect mugs, I love the stainless steel mugs but always have a hard time finding ones that actually keep drinks hot or cold for more than 45 minutes, these actually do and really are by far the best one's i've used yet. I can take a cold drink with ice in it to bed at night and still have ice in it in the morning when I wake up - I have yet to find another steel mug that will do that... Just be careful with the hot drinks if you use a milk based creamer - it will sour - coffee mate and other creamers that don't sour and powder based creamers are fine as they don't sour.

Unfortunately these mugs didn't work for me. They didn't keep liquid hot as long as other brands I've used; not sure why. They seem well made and the addition of the stainless cleaning cloth was a nice touch.

I actually bought these by mistake but figured I'd keep them and see how they worked. Insulation is only fair. My coffee was cold within two hours and the outside of the mug turns very hot with hot beverages in them. I also thought it was kind of small. Cold drinks with ice fared better.

We drink a lot of coffee in our house. Considering that fact, at any moment we can get called to be somewhere while in the middle of a good cup. I'm not one to want to leave it at home. I haven't found a decent travel mug yet. Plastic travel mugs don't hold the temperature of your coffee or spill. Other mugs don't fit in the cup holder of my car. These travel mugs are perfect. Their stainless steel, double walled insulated construction means you will never be drinking a cold cup of coffee. The spill proof lid is truly spill proof. And the cap over the drinking area just flips open easily. When you're done drinking it closes tightly. The travel mug washes easily with soap and hot water. The two bonus microfiber cleaning clothes were a nice surprise. I'm always searching for something to clean my eyeglasses in my purse and now I can just throw one of these in my bag and be prepared. I like the style, but doesn't keep anything hot for long. If you are drinking cold its a perfect option.

The mugs are great. I got them mostly for my husband because he has a little commute in the morning and likes his coffee now that the weather is getting cooler. Beverages stay hot for quite a long time. Easy to clean. Have not noticed that they retain the "coffee smell" as of yet. I did get these for discounted price but would gladly have paid more for them.

I LOVE these travel coffee mugs. They are perfect for stashing in a suitcase to bring on vacation or for daily use. They're very lightweight & not cumbersome or bulky. Very durable & they don't leak at all. They hold a good amount of coffee (& I drink a LOT of coffee), keep it hot for a few hrs & warm for several hrs. I always pack 1-2 of these to bring fishing on a small boat in Alaska & they are PERFECT, easy, serves our need for warm coffee that won't spill & they aren't so expensive that it's heartbreaking if one gets damaged, lost or left behind. (Of course I prefer not to!:) Also...I've never had one get damaged, they're very durable. I'm a real person & purchased these, I'm a coffee lover but not coffee snob, mug obsessed but don't need something $100 more that keeps it warm for an extra hour.
